I buy these quite regularly as i'm a tradesman, as long as the hole you make is large enough they're fine, otherwise they can be a bit difficult to get in properly and sometimes can snap in half. I sometimes use the metal version to go into the hole first and then use these to follow up and then they're always fine.

These snap rather easily trying to screw them into plasterboard even with a 5mm pilot hole. Shame given Fisher is normally a pretty reliable brand. Sadly it's back to B&Q for their off the shelf nylon fixings which don't have this problem.
