A Blast From The Past!
I grew up in listening to this music in the 60s. This is a very good rendition of the music of the day. No, the Four Seasons are not the original members, they captured the sound with flair. The video is quite good, the audio is very average for a live concert. I own a lot of concerts of different genera, I find rock concerts are pretty typically very loud with so many instruments. The lead singer is often drowned out by all the other musicians, added to that is the poor acoustics of a large venue. That said, this one is better than most. Franki punches through enough so that it sounds very much like the original. If only we could time travel, oh well, this is as close as one can get. I count this one as a gem in my collection.

30th Anniversary concert is unmatchable
What do you say about the most "famed" band for doing concerts? This is it! Yes, they do many of their songs spanning the 30 years of Rock and Roll, and yes they can do more songs, but just listen and enjoy what they have put together for the 30th anniversary concert. I saw this concert when it was here in Chicago and the teenagers who joined my sons, stopped in their tracks to hear the perfect harmony and soft tones when the 4 seasons performed the "Do Wop" songs, "Remember When", "Sunday Kind of Love" and "Blue Moon". This caused them to stand around and literally got knocked for a loop when they heard the 4 Seasons sing "Silence is Golden". The soft and smooth rendition relaxed these teens, who couldn't believe these guys were singing "LIVE". They only saw groups who worried more about dancing and doing special effects while lip singing rather then entertain their audience with refined talent. All of this was caught for your enjoyment on this DVD. The only down side I saw about this conert they recorded was that the crowd at this concert took half the concert to loosen up before they got into it. Their loss! If you want a better crowd, get a copy of the "20th Anniversary concert" This crowd was loose and it showed and played well on the recording. However, the concert can only be found on VHS. This is a plead for the 4 Seasons to put this, "20th Anniversary", on DVD for better enjoyment. This tape has also been sold as "Frankie Valli - Hits from the 60's" I hope this helps you decide to buy this part of Rock and Roll history. I now sit and wait for the 40th anniversary concert which comes here in August. I hope they will again entertain us and put it on DVD for all to see. Frankie is now in his middle 60's and I know there won't be too many more conerts left, unless he can pull a Tony Bennett. So buy this for something to pass down to the generations like we do with Elvis. For Frankie Valli is the "King of Falsettos".

Very good to watch
Having seen Jersey Boys twice now and growing up with FVFS on the air, it was good to see him here.Though this was 30 years after he started, it seemed as if he warmed up slowly and by the end of the show, was amazing again. It was a casino club stage venue in Atlantic City. Their catalog of music is extensive for those of us who loved them well, and many who do not know of them well do not know this. They were to the East Coast what the Beach Boys were to the West Coast at the same time and fought hard to stay on the air amidst the newly hyped Beatlemania craze at the same time and British Invasion which I think negatively impacted the whole US music scene. So many excellent groups and US-made songwriting was going on yet it seemed the media was bent on supporting this "British Invasion" then and to this damn day, and so much quality American made music was going on at the same time being overshadowed until now, when people are able to buy these cd's and start to remember the US they grew up in then and how good we really had it back then... NO comparison to what this nation has become today. My first concert I ever bought tickets to as a teenager were for Frankie Vali & the Four Seasons.

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons Concert
While looking for some new concert dvds on Amazon,i came across the Frankie Valli concert,I did not know that there was one out, unless I missed it at the concert sections it the stores.Being a fan of this great music, from the 60s,i could not wait to get it,one day early on delievery, right to the big screen, and the sound system turnned up,it was by far one of the best concerts I have bought.I was a teenager at that time, and that music was the best. This concert was done to perfection,a great band, not missing a beat or note, and with a solid sound on every song. This concert was great,Frankie Valli And The Four Seasons delivered on every song, for a concert that was done 19 years ago,i have to say the quality of the audio and video were grate, not bad at all for not having todays new technology in electronics, they did a very good job.It was a great feeling to me,to here this type of music ,a trip back in time when music was fun and a much diferent way of life,5 stars to this one, a must buy in my book,if you were growing up in that era,and loved the music that was played, then this is your best bet for that kind of sound, thanks Amazon and to the sellers that have these kinds of dvds in stock to purchase.

What a concert!
This concert is absolutely superb, eye-wateringly so! I've had this stored on a VHS tape recorded from the TV in 1992, and had only just thought about looking for a DVD of the same. The DVD is also 76 minutes long, whereas the TV VHS version was only 50 minutes (and probably included adverts).Perfect quality, in glorious stereo sound, very clear, with lovely deep bass as well! Frankie and his Gang at their very best! No wonder they were so popular. Well-deserved success, go Frankie, go! - or, to quote Dion, 'Yo Frankie!'Obviously in the original 4:3 format, which is what we had on standard TV during those pre-widescreen 16:9 days. Recorded at 25 fps (frames per second), the European PAL standard, NOT at 30 fps NTSC American version. If you see this and are in doubt, do so no longer, buy, buy, buy!
