Great household product
I recently started using the Conair Fabric Shaver and Lint Remover, and overall itโs a really helpful little tool that does exactly what itโs meant to do. The biggest benefit is how quickly it brings clothes back to life. Sweaters, leggings, and even blankets that looked worn or fuzzy instantly look smoother and more refreshed after just a few passes. Itโs especially satisfying on older clothing you donโt want to throw away yet. Itโs also very easy to use. The grip feels comfortable in the hand, and itโs straightforwardโjust turn it on and glide it over the fabric. The shaving head covers a decent area, so it doesnโt take long to see results. The lint catcher is simple to empty, which makes cleanup quick and hassle-free . Another thing I like is that it feels safe on most fabrics when used properly. It removes pills without cutting or damaging the material, which gives me more confidence using it on different types of clothing and even furniture. One small downside is that it can fill up pretty quickly if youโre working on heavily pilled fabric, so you may need to empty it a couple of times during use. It also runs on batteries (on most models), so youโll want to keep spares on hand for consistent power. Overall, this is a simple but very effective household tool. Itโs not fancy, but it absolutely does its jobโhelping clothes look cleaner, newer, and well cared for with very little effort.

Good for some laundry items
Definitely a really good deal for under nine bucks. Note that batteries arenโt included. It works for my needs: socks, fleece tops, t-shirts, ribbed tank tops, ribbed cuffs (on sweatshirts), scrubs. I absolutely do not recommend for much beyond this (like upholstered furniture as this will require something more heavy duty and pricy). It comes apart easily enough to clean although cleaning isnโt a cinch. I needed both pointy and slanted tip tweezers to clean the little rod base the circular triple blade attachment sits on as I got hair caught around it. I also needed tweezers to help remove the fuzz from the blades and collector section. This section has multiple pinholes on each side that I blew my breath through to help loosen the collected fuzz so I could push it towards the opening. Kind of a pain in the neck, although, this is how I figured out how to get it out. Of course I should mention I didnโt bother to read the included manual/instruction insert that probably would be pretty helpful in how to clean this thing, but - I was on a mission to remove all the pilling I got all over my clothes/laundry from previously washing like-color clothes with fleece blanket throws that shed like crazy โฆ which is why I bought this gadget in the first place. Important lesson learned.

Great Product!
Bought this fabric shaver in October 2022 and so far it has proved really, really effective. Primarily I use it to remove white pilling on a navy blue recycled polyester jacket. Have also successfully used it on wool sweaters. Highly recommended it. It certainly does need to be cleaned out, and the instructions which came with the shaver explain this in detail. Have used a combination of tweezers, old tooth brush and a chopstick!

โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Works Like a Dream!
โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Works Like a Dream! The Conair Fabric Shaver is honestly one of the best little gadgets Iโve ever purchased. It works like an absolute dream at de pilling everything (sweaters, pillows socks) and it brings fabrics back to life so they look brand new again. Itโs not too loud, super reliable, and incredibly easy to use. One thing I especially love is how simple it is to remove the lint when the container gets full. It pops off easily, empties in seconds, and youโre right back to shaving without any mess. You can definitely find fancier fabric shavers out there, but Iโve had so much success with this exact model that I keep coming back to it. Affordable, effective, and dependable, highly recommend!

Does what it says it will do
This works great without damaging your clothing. It is easy to use, instructions are clear, and it restores old sweaters and sweatshirts. The lint trap is easy to open and empty when needed. I would recommend this.

Terrible design, works well for short sessions.
I ordered this fabric shaver instead of other brands because I thought that the brand name would be better quality and that replacement blades might be easier to find later. The design of this thing is awful. It technically works better than the one I bought from temu, but only for a few seconds of very light duty. Fuzz quickly collects around the center of the blades and the screw in the middle, preventing the blades from spinning efficiently. You have to turn it off and take off two layers of guards to get to the blades to clean them. I do appreciate that it is all removable. The little lint catcher fills up by quickly and is shaped in a way that it's very hard to empty. The bottom portion is so narrow that I can't get my small finger in there. I have to use a knife or something instead. The lint catcher barely holds on to the machine and falls off super easily. The shaver takes two AA batteries that are not included. The battery compartment also feels cheap and is difficult to close with the batteries in. It's a press and twist action that has to be aligned properly. Technically, this is a very affordable option if you plan to use it very lightly. It does work well for a short time. I needed this for the inside of some sweatpants and would only get about 1/4 of the way on one leg before I had to take the thing apart to clean it.

Saved My Sweater!
Conair's Fabric Defuzzer is a must-have for everyone's laundry room. I tested this little gizmo out on the sweater that I wore the day I met my fiance. It was horrifying to look at: the sweater was covered in lint and was pilling awfully. I couldn't wear it like this, but I couldn't bear to part with it for sentimental reasons. The Conair Defuzzer is battery operated. No real point in telling you this, except to say that this device does not come with batteries. You will need to have 2 AA batteries and install them. Look for the sticker inside the battery compartment to know which end faces which way when you drop in the AAs. I did not adjust the distance controller when I used the defuzzer for the first time. I used the device "just out of the box" with its preset settings. You want to make sure you work with the garment laid out on a smooth, hard surface. I used the kitchen table. I began by making short, light strokes going down "the grain" of the fabric. I had to apply a bit more pressure because my sweater has a cable knit pattern that creates areas that are higher than others. It worked insanely well! I started to think about everyone in the house..... they all have closets.... they all wear clothes... Could I get others to give me THEIR clothes to fix? Yeah, it was addictive for the first ten exhilarating minutes. I watched as the defuzzer transformed my sweater from unwearable to wearable! I kept working in this manner, making longer strokes down the garment to remove the pilling and lint. If a section had a stubborn piece of lint, I didn't make a sweep over it, I gently but firmly pressed the defuzzer down on that spot until the offender was lifted off (about one or two presses did the trick.) My sweater has delicate, rope-like knit sections that give it a lacy look. I was uneasy using the defuzzer on areas this delicate. I couldn't wear a half clean sweater, though! I took those areas and laid them over the top of my open hand and very gently used the defuzzer to remove the lint. NOTE: You want to make sure that any loose threads are secured or avoided altogether, otherwise the defuzzer may accidentally pull the fabric and make it worse. On a heavily pilled garment, you'll hear the units motor starts to slow down a little bit. You may notice, as I did, that the unit is not working as well. This is the point where you stop, turn the unit off, and clean the lint out of it. There's nothing wrong with the defuzzer, it just needs the fabric remnants cleaned out of it. Pull down the detachable lint collector and shake it out. Grab the stuff that's blocking up the opening to the unit, too. There will probably be a lot stuck there. When you're all finished restoring your garment, make sure to clean the defuzzer out one more time. I used a q-tip to gently get the lint that was clumped up inside the unit. Next, go outside, turn the device on, and let it blow out any remaining lint inside that you couldn't reach with the q-tip. (Make sure you don't have the unit pointed toward your face. I didn't do that. I SWEAR I didn't do that....) Place the lint collector back on the device and wipe the outside plastic part down with a soft cloth before storing it in its original packaging and putting it away. You may want to remove the batteries as well, and store them in a plastic sandwich baggie, placing those in the box, too, if you think you won't be using the defuzzer for a long period of time. Overall grade: for the money spent, A+! Wish I'd bought this sooner!
