Reliable converter for older devices
I ended up buying four of these converters to connect several older devices to modern HDMI TVs, and they all worked as expected. Setup was straightforward — plug the RCA cables into the converter, connect HDMI to the TV, and power it with the included USB cable. The picture quality is about what you’d expect when converting composite video to HDMI. It’s not going to turn an older signal into true HD, but it displays the image clearly and makes it easy to use older equipment on newer displays. I tested them with a few different devices and they worked without any issues. They’re also small enough to tuck behind a TV or entertainment center without taking up much space. Overall, this is a simple and effective solution if you need to connect older devices like retro game systems, VCRs, or DVD players to an HDMI-only TV.

Connected Fine to Karaoke Player
I needed a down and dirty solution to connect an old Karaoke player to a big screen TV and sound system at my grand daughter's reception. This was a cheap solution and it worked just fine. It won't win any prizes for build or USB connections (a funky, no longer supported USB charging port, but you get the cable for it), but the audio and video to HDMI worked great, permitting the entire party to singalong to the karaoke.

Surprisingly good for LaserDisc—even on an 85" screen!
I honestly wasn't expecting much given the price, but I figured I’d try this before investing in a high-end scaler. I’m glad I did! I recently inherited a LaserDisc player, and my Yamaha AVR did a terrible job converting the composite signal to HDMI. This little adapter performs much better. The deinterlacing is solid. As long as you understand the inherent limitations of composite video and the LD format, you’ll be happy with the results. Even blown up on my 85-inch TV, it’s totally watchable. One technical note: I couldn’t get the HDMI output to pass through my AVR (it wouldn't detect signal), but it works perfectly when plugged directly into the TV. This actually works out better for me, as I can save specific aspect ratio and picture settings on that TV input just for the LD player. I plan on buying another one when I add a VCR to my setup!

Nice and effective, but the lag is real
This converter box is pretty well-made, and was very easy to use. There is minimal lag in the conversion between formats, but there is a very little bit still there. I use this box to convert HDMI to an audio coaxial, so I could hook it up into my Buttkicker base shaker. While the lag is there, for that functionality it’s a little less noticed. Nonetheless, it’s good to know before buying! I do appreciate how small the box is, and while it’s too bad you have to supply power externally, I guess it makes sense that the HDMI can’t power it.

Works with Dreamcast
Using this converter so that an ancient Dreamcast game system can connect to TV on the wall thru HDMI cable hidden behind the wall, and works great.

Big, beautiful results from a small piece of equipment
Purchased the unit and it was delivered the next day 4/11/2024. I wanted to use the unit with an old Sony Tape Player, and an old Sony 5 disc CD Player. Fortunately, I had the appropriate connections to use from both of the players to the unit, as well as an HDMI for the other connection to a speaker system. In addition, I had a required plug in electrical conversion piece used for some old items that required it for charging. For ease of use, I decided to connect the unit to an older Sharp TV through one of the HDMI ports to play both players through the TV stereo speakers, without having to rewire anything else. CD Player: Only two of the three connections are required for this purpose, since my old CD player had only two outlet connections for stereo play. Turned on the TV, placed several discs into the CD player and hit PLAY. The TV indicated no signal, but the sound came through the TV stereo speakers with nice sound (used the TV remote to change sound volume). When the initial disc completed play, the next disc was loaded and player kept working. Only issue with this setup, the Artist and Song Titles did not show on the screen without a third signal connection. Once this setup was used for music background during our dinner hour, I decided to explore the Tape Player setup. TAPE Player: this player is a very old Sony unit, for DVD and Tape play. Replaced the two plug wires from CD player and inserted the three plug wiring from the Tape Player. My Tape trial play was a very old original Avengers tape, Steed & Ms. Peel, episodes. The display on the TV, black and white, was not as sharp as current projections, but was viewable with no distortions, and excellent sound. My DVD trial was from the original Spiderman movie. Very good video and sound through the movie. CONCLUSION: For my purposes this inexpensive little box has allowed me to use some “old players” and enjoy old items that I thought were lost to me forever. For that I give it the highest rating possible!

Great little gadget
This is a nice but simple very light weight device to meet my need of an RCA to HDMI video signal for my older non-HDMI DVD player. I connected the video output (yellow connection) of my DVD to the video input of the converter. Please note that if you have a device that has Composite Video (Blue connection) it'll work but will be in black and white just like with any other non-composite device. Fortunately, my DVD player has both. I connected the audio outputs of my DVD to my receiver for sound. No connections to the converter. I then connected the HDMI to my monitor for video. I tested it on two different systems and it works like I anticipated. Hopefully, this device lasts for a while, as I will rarely use it. On the other hand, it arrived on time and was properly packed. If I am in need of this solution in another instance, I'll purchase another. Recommended.

This product is Exceptional, Outstanding and Unbelievable. At this price, it is able to convert the analog audio to digital audio without any drop in the quantity. I played the a HQ audio with bluetooth and then via this device and found that the audio quality of this device was much better. So don't give a second thought, just go for it!
