Reliable and Consistent Output at a Reasonable Price
This heat gun is worth the additional 8-15 dollars for the name brand given how many unreliable and inconsistently performing heat guns are out there made by unknown companies. The power is technically lower, but I believe it makes it more usable for most tasks vs only using the low setting of stronger tools. Nice attachments with the kit so just get it.

Found I needed some warmth for a project. Stopped using blow dryers in the 80s, so I bought this to try. Wagner is a reliable brand. Pleased. Works well on both heat settings. Good price. Attachments fit well. Get one!

Very solid, well made tool
Recently purchased, well made and putting out lots of heat. Very nice attachments appear to be stainless steel. Would highly recommend, will use primarly for electrical heat shrink tubing.

Be careful if you are in a 220V country and consider to buy this tool. The voltage requirement is even not specified on the tool body. It can only be found in the manual. Amazon page should include this pieces of critical information.

The heat gun was bought just to make it easier to remove the previous 2 layers of paint before repainting. The Wagner 400 was about as useful as teats on a boar. The instruction manual was followed as directed, such as pre-sanding, etc. However, we might as well have poured hot water over the old paint & get the same results as the heat gun, which was diddly-squat. Overall, the Wagner 400 was easy to use, felt comfortable to hold, a pretty not too bad user manual, and nozzle attachments for various projects. Although we didn’t use it for the other applications such as removing caulk, or to soften pipes for bending, but I think it would be more useful for those tasks. Dec. 31, 2024 . . . 😬 my error, the correct Wagner model is the HT 1000
