Review: Has the new profile and clamping system which is superior. - I’ve been cleaning windows for 30 years, and I’m an equipment snob. I like my stuff to be highly functional, light and durable. That said, I have been using the collar lock type poles for groundwork, for decades, and I am very familiar with all of the benefits, and detractors of this system. It’s the one where you twist a locking collar, which applies Friction to the inner part of the pole, to lock it in place. These are effective, but they wear out, and require a certain amount of strength, once they begin to wear. Enter the new system, with a flip switch type lock. I find them to be superior, in that, they require almost no strength to operate, and, the pole has a triangular cross-section, which anyone familiar with physics, or geometry, knows, renders a much stronger, and more durable pole, using less weight. I love the new system, and don’t miss the old one at all. That said, the listing shows the old collar, lock design, but what I actually received, was, the new, triangular, cross-section, flip lock pole, which is not that easy to find in an 8 foot, two section model. I used to zip by Home Depot, and grab one whenever I needed it, but they have foolishly stoped selling these. This is a window cleaner staple we are talking about. Anyway, I’m very happy, for the first time, not to have gotten what I ordered. Highly recommended.

**Q: Can you attach the Connect and Clean pole to a water hose? Thanks!**
A: These poles are not meant to be connected to a hose. Unger does have a WaterFlow pole that works with a hose.

**Q: Is there an attachment like a hook that you could use to put up Christmas lights?**
A: No it doesn't.  You might search under Christmas Light hanger tools and find something though on Amazon.  Have a Merry CHRISTmas!

**Q: What are the dimensions of the box that the 8ft pole is shipped in?**
A: Not sure off top of my head but it would be close to the unextended dimensions length wise something around 8ft and width I’d say around a foot.

**Q: How do i extend the length?  i can't get anything to work. i pressed on the black buttons (do i need to do both at the same time or just one).  help**
A: You have to turn the blue area to the left and that will loose your extension portion and once it’s at the height needed tighten it by turning the blue portion to the right. The black button are the extra piece you may add to the pole.  It’s a wonderful tool for windows or high dusting .  God Bless

I purchased this to pair with the Unger Hydro Brush and it works great. I was able to reach my over door awning for scrubbing without needing a ladder. The telescoping feature works nicely and holds tightly. I deducted one star because what appears to be a quick release mechanism at the business end of the pole that attaches to the brush doesn't seem to work and there were no instructions to reference in case I was too stupid to figure out why.
