The scent is mild but not unpleasant. The oil is quite thick but isn't greasy and disappears into the hair quickly. Hair is noticeably soft for the rest of the day after use, so it's doing pretty much what it claims to. The £16 pricetag is still far too much, however. It is best used after a shower as it doesn't absorb as well on dry hair. This is the first product he has tried since growing a beard so can't really compare to other products. However I do think that the smell is a bit of a disappointment after reading the delicious sounding blurb on the box! I could barely distinguish it from the soap he uses. It also seems pretty pricey for the amount you get.
