Little hard to see when the sand has run out - need to keep it on a white background. We use it to tell us when to raise the blinds during poker night. 15 minute timer - runs out in 15 minutes and 20 seconds, plus or minus a second or two. Close enough. No issues with construction quality.

It's actually kinda bigger than I initially expected. Somehow I thought it'd be like the sand timers from a board game, but it was like 5x bigger making it easier to read. Measured the time and found it to be 6 seconds slow, but that appears to be expected as it say "+/- 10%" right on top of the timer. Very handy for kids to make sure they're brushing their teeth the full 2 minutes.

I bought many of these sand timers for my class. My first through third graders use them often, and they aren't holding up. I have had them for about 2 and 1/2 years. I have had to reglue many of them. But this is also for a class of 30 students. If it was for home use or fewer children it would probably be fine.
