I bought this as the biltong from this supplier is normally lean and good quality. This is not up to the mark though. That fatty film that coats the inside of your mouth and throat is due to processing fat into the mix and potentially through fined grained pulping of the meat itself. Both are indicators of poor quality. Along with that is the high level of residual salt in the mix. So high fat and high salt. Defeats the purpose! Not good!

I thought I'd order something like this, especially this quantity to repack and reseal for a daily snack. It doesn't say in the description of the products, but on the back it expressly says not to reseal and refrigerate and leave in the open, uncovered and consume within 48 hours. That's a lot of dried beef.In terms of quality, it isn't even close to their biltong. It has a strange flavour and the texture is weirdly crumbly and dry with a greasy feel to it. The quality of the meat feels much lower and there were lots of gristle bits.

BEEFit make good biltong. They don't make good Droewors. Hard to describe the texture and flavour as anything other than unpleasant. I'll stick to the biltong in future.

Was a nice flavour but there are loads of fatty chunks along with a very greasy coating. When decanting into food storage tub, my hands were dripping with grease. If this was leaner it would be excellent, I'll stick with jerky.

It is so dry. These were definitely not even slightly moist when they were vacuum packed. Don’t but these. It’s not worth the money.

First time trying BEEFit as I am on a low sugar low carb high protein diet. Very tasty and very moorish! Will be buying again!
