Zumba Women's Zumba Fly Fade Dance Sneaker

I purchased these sneakers because I take a cardio dance (like zumba) class and dance classes. I ordered the size that I would usually get in a gym sneaker, and they were a perfect fit. I have high arches, and was concerned about that. I have worn the sneakers to two cardio dance classes, one dance class, and a turbo kick class. So far, I love them. They are light weight and work great for the zumba-like moves that we do in cardio class, and have helped my spins in dance class. With my other gym sneakers, I found myself hopping to make the spins, but with the spin spot on the sneaker, the spins are easier. I did not like them for turbo kick class, as I found I was slipping when I was kicking, but I thought I would try them out to see. I purchased them specifically for the dancing, and they are perfect, so far! I have already had a couple of my friends at the gym ask me about them, and I have highly recommended these sneakers.

Strangely enough, these are a little long in the toe. One of the reasons I love Ryka - only athletic shoes I buy- is they are consistent, I wear an 8.5. Still, these were my first Zumba shoes. They must be just cut a bit different as when I hold the bottom up to my other pairs they seem the same, but when I put them on are a bit narrower and have extra room at the toe end. Rather too big than too small for sure, and I put an arch support in. I'd like to try an 8 for curiosity sake but they weren't that off. And maybe it's just the brilliant color that makes my foot look larger, lol. I love the color though. Gives me happy feet :) and they work well on the studio floor.

These shoes were designed especially for Zumba, which includes lots of twists, turns, and sliding. The big selling point of these shoes is that the area on the pivot point of the sole is supposed to have less grip to the floor, thereby making the twists, turns, and slides that are a big part of Zumba easier to perform and easier on the wearer's knees. Unfortunately, this is not the case--this area on the pivot point of the soles grips just as tightly to the floor as the rest of the sole. I was so excited to try get these shoes and try them out because my knees have really been hurting due to these twists and turns and my previous shoes not moving smoothly enough and gripping the floor during these moves. My knees hurt even worse after wearing these shoes, but that's probably because I really went all out in that class because I thought the shoes would do what they are advertised to do. Additionally, the insole of this shoe is 1/8" thick. This is less support and thickness than many dress shoes! Zumba is a high-impact exercise--there should be 2-3 times as much support in the insoles of these shoes. I gave them the one star for lightness and flexibility as well as their wide toe box, however. So, if you modify these shoes by removing the insoles and replacing them with something more cushioned and supportive and get yourself a pair of dancesox (they're available out here on Amazon) and slip them over the front of the shoes, you can make these shoes work for you.

These are one of the more comfortable Zumba shoes I have purchased. They provide good support yet are light and breathable. I gave the shoes only four stars because unlike some of the other Zumba shoes I've purchased, these have a tendency to stick a little in carpet. I am hoping that after breaking them in a little more (I've only had them a week), they will move a little freer while twisting. Overall, a great shoe!!

Love the way the shoes look. They are also very comfortable right out of the box. I gave them only 4 stars because they don't slide as much as I would like. I've only worn them once, so I am hoping that if I only wear them in the studio, the soles will start sliding a little better.

The color is more of a bright orange pink, not as light as the photo. That is why I gave them a 4 star. I wish they were more like the photo. But it is a nice Zumba shoe. I have worn them for several hour long classes and they are nice and light. Lots of room in the toe box.

Ordered size 8 1/2. Inserted Dr. Scholls heel pads since I have problems with my heels. Made it more comfortable.. I would recommend this shoe to Zumba dance lovers.

My wife went from enjoying Zumba, but aching in her feet and knees, to loving Zumba and not having any foot/knee pain after switching to these. She wore new balance cross trainers before this - a nice pair she walks in and loves - but said the cross trainers just didn't bend or flex or let her pivot like these. She was almost crying with joy because she can really get into her Zumba now. I'm so happy for her!
