Royal Talens Bruynzeel Expression Set of 72 Assorted Fineliner/Brush Pens (60325072)

I tried these after seeing them on another site, and after the six-pack landed in my mailbox, it took about three minutes for me to be over here on Amazon, buying the big set. They're really fantastic -- the brush tips are felt, but have a really great, flexible tip that hasn't frayed on me yet. They lay down color like some of my much more expensive markers, and the ink rewets with water for watercolor effects on most paper.And let's just talk about this color selection for a minute: I've never seen some of these colors in markers before. I've got the whole Tombow set, and the Kuretake Zig set, and have tried a *lot* of others, from alcohol to cheap watersoluble drugstore sets. And when I say that these colors are well-curated and unique, I mean it, and have a fairly decent breadth of experience upon which to compare. They're just *interesting* -- not really bright (like the Tombows) or too similar within color families (like the Zig), but a semi-muted, neutralized color story with non-jarring brights and a great range of actual neutrals.For the price, which is significantly less than complete sets of comparable markers, these are a unique, fantastic surprise. I haven't found a place to rebuy individual markers, but if they have that option somewhere, I'd be sorely tempted to make this my only set of brush markers. They're that good.

I received a few in an art box, and decided to buy a set. I love how these write, and the brush end is more stiff than flexible. Great buy.
