**Q: do you think it would handle a brisket moving from smoker to table for wrapping**
A: It would probably be fine, but I wouldn't go over 10 lbs.  I just put a 10 lb box on it, and it was fine, but I had to use a firm grip on the metal part of the handle.  More than that, and I think you'd be risking bending/breaking the handle.

A: The blade is 14" across.  16" to the very back of the blade, and 13" to the point where the handle starts.  I hope this helps!
