I wanted to love this so much, but between the crappy paint job and globs of glue everywhere I just cant.Edit***I received my second bookends and they are not much better. The foot is broken glue still everywhere.

The reviews are correct. The product arrived with a little damage and although the cast is neat it looks like someone spilled something on it and there are chips and scrapes. I doesn't look brand new but it nice anyway.

I thought this was a good item for great price!! Successfully holds up 10-books of various sizes & weights, and fits into my overall design theme on my bookshelf nicely. I have a chiweenie, and will always be a dachshund lover so this was perfect for our home!
