I came upon this white noise machine when searching for one prior to the birth of our first child and it really helps our whole family sleep at night. We now have one for each of our kids and have gotten them as baby shower gifts for others as well. The main things we were looking for in a sound machine were and this one checked all the boxes 1. Loud This sound machine provides a great low frequency sound that can be turned up loud enough to drown out outside noises well, which was the main reason I chose this one over Marpac Dohm (which creates the sound with a fan rather than electronically thus not allowing it to get very loud). 2. Low frequency white noise It has a great low frequency rumbly option that is perfect us and for babies (one of the 5 soothing S's per Dr. Harvey Karp that we have found to be very accurate! 3. Not sounding like it was on a track (like we didn't want to hear it repeating itself) We have had both our babies sleep in our room as infants so I wanted to find a sound machine we could all enjoy. I was a little nervous that with this being an electronic sound (vs like a fan), I would find it repeating itself and drive me nuts in the middle of the night. But it completely doesn't! 4. Able to play all night long on it's own 5. Portable for naps on the go so we could use it as a sleep cue It is small and compact with a great battery. We plug it in a night and then the battery easily lasts for all of the daytime naps (the first one we purchased is now almost three years old and the battery still works like when we bought it). My only complaint is that the power button can be a challenge- with our old one, you have to hold the button for a few seconds and with the new one, it sometimes won't turn of if it is plugged in. But now that we have figured out the quirks, it's not really a big deal.

I’ve bought 2 of these and I plan on buying four more. The first 2, I’ve had for almost 4 years and at first the battery life was great, but I have to admit now after so many years they do have to be plugged in continuously to continue to work, but I don’t care because they continue to work. I cannot sleep without this sound. I never slept with white noise before my baby was born and she slept in our room for two years and when we moved to our new house and she had her own room, I bought a second one because I couldn’t sleep without this sound. And she couldn’t either. I plan on buying at least four more because I am scared they’re going to become discontinued for some stupid reason and then I will be lost without this specific sound. Honestly, it’s the only sound machine I’ve ever used and it is the only one I will ever use. I’ll probably start hoarding them soon.

Use this every night, can go loud if needed and all sounds are soothing! Battery last pretty long as well! Keeps our baby sleeping through the night!

UPDATE: The machine randomly died one day 5 months after using it everyday in our baby's nursery, as well as out and about to help baby nap. Customer service was very fast to send out a new machine and we got it in a few days, but I'm going to assume it will die again in another 5 months or so. We ended up getting the fridababy as a backup while we waited for the new one to ship, but it's not as loud as this yogasleep one. So we do like the yogasleep better for functionality. It does help with baby to fall asleep and stay asleep during the evenings. When we are out and about we attach to babys bassinet as well. It’s a simple device, extremely lightweight which will be great for future travel. I know the reviews mention that it’s using usb-a since this is the older model, but for whatever reason, I got one with usb-c which is awesome. We just keep it plugged in at home but it does seem to carry a pretty long charge. I got this older model since I read that the newer models only have buttons on the bottom, making it hard to access when laid flat. So far it’s been a good choice to have the older model where the buttons are on the side. My only nitpick is that I wish there was a more gradual volume increase when I turn it on or off since it is very abrupt to go from silence. We didn’t get one with a nightlight (like the hatch) since our nursery has adjustable lighting, but I could see that being useful when traveling.

I really do think this is the absolute best sound machine out there. That being said, I’ve gone through 7 of these, both the hushh and Rohm models. The main differences: Hushh: Grey Has a lock feature to avoid changing settings which is great for kids Had a light feature which I find tricky to use but nice as a nightlight when I can get it to work! Rohm: White I’ve noticed some louder than others but all sufficient for adult, child, and baby use. I have three children, and another on the way. I sleep trained babies for several years as a profession. White Noise is an absolute go to for me. I have gone through at least 10 different types of white noise machines in the past six years. What stands out about this product is that it can be plugged in, but also has a 12 hour battery life, which is great in case it accidentally gets unplugged by toddlers or if our power goes out. I can’t tell you how many times power has gone out in the middle of the night and plugged in white noise machines go off, and the kids wake up. Also, it’s size is perfect, and so portable, and I can easily hang it from a stroller or a car seat handle. The only reason I cannot give it five stars is because I’ve had to return/replace three of them. One would only stay on for a couple seconds as soon as I got it and had charged it and it was even plugged in. Another, the charging port simply wasn’t there, I think it broke off in shipment, and was jiggling around inside, and the other basically died after a week and the power button became jiggly and was unable to operate. All that being said, this is still the most superior white noise machine out there. It has three options, and gets very loud. It’s portable, has 12 hour battery life and can still be plugged in. The price point is good too. I truly stand behind this product, and thankfully Amazon returns are easy, so I can exchange faulty products. But I think I will continue using these for many years to come!

My son absolutely loves this. Starts falling asleep the second I turn it on, and it comes with a little round hook thing so it's super easy to travel with - Don't even need the case! (sold separately)

I bought this over 6 years ago for my first son, and it’s still going strong today. Since then, I’ve used it for all my boys, and it has held up incredibly well through years of use. What really stands out is the durability and battery life—it still holds a charge like it did when we first got it, which honestly surprised me. Most baby products don’t even make it through one child, but this one has lasted through multiple with no issues. If you’re looking for something reliable that will actually last, I’d definitely recommend this!

I have a new habit of sleeping in white noise and this Totally works , change it every alternate night to make it work for 8-10 hours a night

Semplice, intuitivo, e ricarica che dura più “passeggiate”. Lo usiamo ogni giorno per il sonnellino pomeridiano nel passeggino. Unica cosa da stare attenti : ha batteria NiMh, e quindi soffre del “effetto memoria” se non si scarica e ricarica completamente. Basta che lo usate finche inizia a spegnersi da solo ed andate sul sicuro. Top

Really like this product, it's not a magic bullet or anything like that but it really helps block out background noise in my very open plan house. Also love that it's portable. Only issue is I can only turn the night light on when the machine isn't plugged in, we leave ours plugged in all the time and for some reason the light won't turn on. It's no big deal just need to unplug turn the light on and then plug in again, it can just be a pain to do when holding a baby. But still worth the money.
