Took the opportunity in my first week to get 100km done on it, not in one go - an impressive bit of kit and quick to mount/unmount the bike once the stand is in place. My box came with a spoke and a speed sensor although they were not listed as coming in the box. Currently returning these that I bought separately to desertcart now. I've a bit of tyre slippage when I crank the resistance up past 5 but I suspect that's my setup and I will try make some adjustments and put some more air pressure in. Power algo rating is directional, you can feel it in your legs though. Quieter than expected, very sturdy and stable - even at full pelt. Minor challenge on setting it up but there was a youtube video that sorted me out and syncing with zwift etc is seamless once the sensor is installed. The TacX training app is pretty good, some decent courses. All in all, I wish I'd have bought this ages ago. I no longer felt confident that I could ride (or even walk) home if felt unable to continue my ride. I picked this up to train at home, outside in the garage or in the garden and it’s been really useful. I’ve used gym / studio bikes and this didn’t feel too different. Still my bike but nice and stable. Fit and smoothness of ride is great. I also really like the front wheel support becoming a handle for rear wheel unit. Only slight problem was changing the resistance. This was very difficult (and I train my grip) and there didn’t seem to be any way to make the movement easier. You may need a through axel adapter. As for tyres… You are much better off with a dedicated Turbo Trainer Tyre. What I would suggest is going a stage further and getting a dedicated wheel with cassette and tyre. That way you just swap back wheels and it’s what most riders end up doing. The reason is turbo trainer roller turned by a normal bike tyre can generate heat that can cause a normal tyre to deteriorate quickly. Dedicated Turbo Trainer Tyres are made to deal with this heat and last a decent length of time. Some people don’t bother. I have dedicated trainer bike. Nothing changes except my gear selection. I check everything is as it should be (Tyre Pressure, Roller Pressure and Resistance). This means any change in my performance is due to me. ‘The Obree Way’ is the book I use to guide my training. (Graeme Obree is worth searching) It depends how serious you want to take your training. So to recap… 700 wheels (Road Bike) fit. Check your bike frame warranty covers it being used on a turbo trainer.
