what if you dont need all 4 ports at one time can you close them off if not using? Do I need to add a regulator for each line?

Air only is allowed through the ports when they are connected to another line. So you can used 1 of the 4 ports and dont have to worry about closing the other 3. To answer your second question, depends on your use for each line. For example, if the psi is at 120 coming from the compressor, but your device only requires 10 psi, then you would need a regulator for that equipment. If you are using all for 4 ports on the manifold and each line has equipment requiring different psi settings, then yes, you should have a different regulator for each line. I have a regulator between my compressor and manifold only and no regulator between the manifold ports equipment because each of my equipment devices have their own regulator built-in. I recommend placing a regulator that is rated to handle all your equipment, between the compressor and manifold to protect them from water build-up and only add regulators between manifold port and equipment only if your device requires a different psi setting from the psi of the compressor. PSI MEANS POUNDS PER SQUARE INCH..... just in case you didnt know.

Would v style fittings work with this splitter?

Sorry no, the fittings of splitter only work with I/M style.

Can the end plug be removed to add a 1/4 gauge?

Very Nice!

Well now I can run 4 lines off my compressor and not have to keep switching which will help the connectors last longer and save me having to run copper pipe everywhere.. Now I can just drape the hoses around the shop to where I need them.. just once and be done!

works great when you work with more that one air tool. you don't have to un connect to use another air tool,just simply add another air hose and another air tool as many as 4 different air tool.

Made a Tire Inflater/Deflater Manifold

I bought this to be able to inflate/deflate all four tires to the exact same pressure. Along with some ball valves, it works perfectly. The end has locktite Allen plugs installed. I used a heat gun to remove one of them to add an air pressure gauge,.
