I was fortunate to be able to "test" sit at a Purple store near me, if able to try out for yourself first before buying, I would reccomend you do so. I was initially wanting to buy the Royal one, but after sitting on one in the store, it was not near as soft for my needs. I sat on this Double one and it was perfect.I have a fused back, with three vertebrae fused at my lower back with 6 screws and plates, I had bought a brand new Ashley Furniture brand office chair that seemed comfortable enough when I tried it out at the store, but for sitting for 7 hours plus a day, ended up being very uncomfortable and required frequent getting up and moving around. Rather than return the chair and invest in a super padded, very expensive Big N Tall one that would likely work for me, I thought I would try this option first. I am happy to report it made a night and day difference for my repaired back and I can comfortably sit all day in my office chair, and my back and rear end are extremely thankful for my purchase of this cushion.It is pretty heavy, but this is to be expected for a dual thickness Cushion, it is not overpowering but it does have some heft, and would likely be a bit of a nuisance if you wanted to carry this around for different seating situations, but is doable. It did have some smell upon opening as others have commented on, but it was minor and not overpowering. I just put it in my bathroom and opened the window for 24 hours. It fits snugly in the cover, I have mine smaller honeycomb side up (part you sit on) , and larger side down on the chair (as suggested). It does move around a bit on my office chair as some have also made note of. I will try some grip tape and see if that makes any difference.I am very happy with this Cushion so far, it fits the bill for my needs, and is very comfortable, it does compress quite a bit while on it, so the double thickness is not a issue for me as far as raising me up on the chair, I am 6'2 and over 200 pounds for reference, someone smaller and lighter may experience a bit of a lift in the chair while sitting on it.**Exceeded my expectations, as a side note the same Cushion in the actual Purple store cost $50 more than here on Amazon, and salesman said they would not match online prices even though this Cushion ships direct from the actual Manufacturer, so try on in store if possible, then buy here on Amazon to save $$.**

So I got this pillow awhile ago and I was a little skeptical on whether the pillow would hold up on my chair. Well because it’s such a thick thing, it has lasted me like 3 chairs +. It fits every chair for the most part. So my first chair was a super small seat and this thing literally molded to my chair so I could be comfortable. When I lifted it I heard little gel squares shifting back into place, so cool. So it’s very adjustable per say. So it fits lots of chairs, and keeps the uncomfortable chairs comfortable. When I first got it, it had a pretty bad stench to it so I left it and the cover outside hung over a lawn chair for one night. In the morning the smell was gone. If you want to you can wash it as it’s wash safe. It is a little cold to sit on but as you stay in the seat it warms up obviously. It supports your back and rump so well that sitting in any other chair feels like a downgrade. I was in Disney the other day and we saw a show in Hollywood studios. Those benches would have been 100x more comfortable if I had this product. In conclusion I would say that this product is a golden egg. You should pick it up and use it, even if it does not feel good at first, let it grow on you. This thing was not fun for me to sit on at first because of the texture, but I gave it like a day on my chair and it stopped so much pain. Hope this helped, have a good one.
