I ordered this coat for my 10 yr old son and the men's small was too big for him, but it fits ME perfectly :). This is probably the nicest rain jacket I've ever had, it's heavier than my Marmot that I wear while running, it's waterproof, has flannel-lined pockets, and the zipper works both from the bottom and top so I can unzip the bottom to accomodate my dog's waist leash. I really like it a lot. I have the Charles River flannel-lined anorak too and their products are really well made. I wouldn't hesitate to buy more from them.

I used to have one of these years ago but lost it. I purchased this one and was pleased that they had not changed. The quality is second to none, size and fit are perfect. Look is exceptional. This will be the best raincoat you have ever purchased. Highly recommend!

Good raincoat. I bought a size up because I like more air under a raincoat when it is raining and super humid.The sleeves are open not tight so it is a lot better for dissipating heat. I don’t like coats that have tight wrists. Keep it loose stay cool in the higher humidity. Especially if you are walking fast to get out of the rain. 😁

Charles River Rain Jacket. This was designed to do one thing well; keep you dry. It is not an all-purpose jacket and you will most likely not want to wear it if it isn't raining due to the nature of the fabric. Think of it like an umbrella. Like most real rain coats, it is oversized for two reasons; to keep your phone & wallet in your pants pockets dry and to shed water away from your body instead of having it drain onto your hips & legs.If it is 45 degrees and raining, you will be wearing a fleece jacket, or down vest or spring/fall jacket underneath it, and there is room for that. I would not wear this to work in because there are better options that are lower priced and made of tougher material and have larger hoods for a hard hat. If you do not need a serious rain coat, there are many options of rain-resistant jackets and many are more fashionable and they can be comfortable even if it never rains.

I AM 6'4" 255 AND THE 2XL FITS FINE WITH ROOM TO GO OVER CLOTHING LIKE SWEATSHIRTS OR ANOTHER LIGHT JACKET. SLEEVES COULD BE A TAD LONGER FOR A TALL MAN BUT ARE OK. LENGHT OF COAT IS FINE, FEELS COMFORTABLE DUE TO MESH LINING. 2 OUTSIDE POCKETS ,NONE INSIDE. ZIPPERS UP HIGH TO KEEP WIND AND WATER OUT. WILL BE FINE FOR BIKING ON THOSE COOL BREEZY DAYS. BOUGHT THIS TO REPLACE A BLACK PLASTIC TYPE RAIN JACKET THAT WAS HOT AND STICKY TO WEAR IN SUMMER MONTHS. THIS JACKET DOES NOT STICK TO YOU AND BREATHS VERY WELL, PLUS LIGHT COLOR REFLECTS SUN AND INCREASES VISIBILITY OF WEARER. HOOD COVERS MY LARGE HEAD. JACKET COULD BE WORN AS A WINDBREAKER AS IT IS STYLED NICELY AND DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A RAINCOAT. AM PLEASED WITH PURCHASE AND WOULD BUY AGAIN.

Several years ago, my daughter gave me a monogrammed Charles River rain jacket for Christmas, which I love. This probably inspired me to order a Charles River as opposed to another line of rain jacket for a birthday gift for my husband. His jacket is well made, lightweight, comfortable, and has the same reflective strip for safety when worn in parking lots on those dark rainy days. He likes it, and I hope it wills serve him as well as mine has me.

I've had this rain jacket for myself for several years. Purchased this one for my husband. He's very pleased to have one for himself. I will be purchasing another for myself again soon.

I got this for myself, my sister and my Neice. We were looking for something good quality that was long enough to keep our butts dry. These are perfect! And they don’t break the bank. Finding women’s rain coats in the length we want got pricey quickly. Love these so much! Just one warning, these retain heat really well. I made the mistake of layering a jacket under it only once. Thought I was gonna over heat in 60 degree weather. This coat alone was fine. 10/10!

The zipper is the type that has 2 openers so that you can unzip part of the bottom of the jacket.It is virtually impossible to open to take the jacket off. Otherwise it is a near perfect product. I would never buy it again because of the zipper design.

Okay, while I don't like to review items without trying, I can't make it rain to confirm how well it works.It did though arrive in good time, albeit the mail strike here in Canada.After reading reviews, I ordered a size down that I would usually go for. I'm a large guy, and while it felt like a risk I'm always pleased with the return service.Well the suggestions to order a size smaller were correct, there's still a little space so I can wear some layers underneath, useful for this time of year. There had been mention of some shortness in the arms, yes if you stretch out you will see plenty of wrist, but you have to remember the coat is waterproof, it won't stretch like other materials. It is though a nice quality.Edit For Waterproof Review: It works great, completely waterproofed in up to heavy rain. Better in cooler climates than warmer, as I did found that if it was still warm when it rained, you tend to sweat underneath.
