Dritz 915 Jean-A-Ma-Jig

I've had mixed results with this item. It does work really well on uneven seams. It works better with wider seam allowances. Do recommend.

Freaking amazing, honestly. So fantastic for when you need to start sewing a bulky material on your sewing machine. I’d broken so many needles prior to this little handy gizmo. Each time I use it, I saw omg this thing is freaking awesome.

This is a good notion to use when sewing “thick” items such as several layers of cloth. blue jeans, etc.

Ordered it for a friend who needed to mend her husband's jeans. This works great to get over those thick seams

I first tried this product while sewing over a seamline that was bulky from multiple layers of fabric. As I got closer to sewing over the bulky seamline, I slid the jean-a-ma-jig directly behind and up against my sewing presser foot. The jean-a-ma-jig essentially raised the front of my presser foot up to the same level as the bulky seam line and I was able to sew smoothly over it.

Brilliant little tool for helping to sew over those thick bumpy seams - especially when seeing jeans.

I tried it to get the needle over a thick seam in a little fabric box I was making.

I always have to shorten trousers so this should prove invaluable. The instructions on the pack are very small but there are numerous u-tube videos showing how to use it.

Saw this gadget on 'you tube'. Great for hemming jeans where the material is thick at the seams. This gadget lifts the pressure foot and allows it to stitch the thick part. Tried it and it works well.

Lovely little gizmo. Works splendidly and is so simple to use. Just used it whilst making linen trousers and it has made the stitching over the thicker side seams look very professional.
