Elasto-Gel Cervical Products Support Roll 3" X 10" Small Support Roll

This item arrived on a very cold day. It stayed cool for at least 6 hours, so it is an excellent cold compress.It's the perfect size to fit under my neck, the gel is supportive and does not compress like foams.

I visited a chiropractor for the first time in my life as I was about to retire from military service. He stated that he owned one of these for a very long time and he recommended it to me as therapy for my neck when lying down (like 20 minutes each sitting). I purchased this on the same day and it has gotten a lot of use. It is terrific "as prescribed" for neck relief but also for any ailment or minor problem that may require a cold pack. I recommend an occasional mist of Febreeze to eliminate any incidental freezer odors. Great relief with this product and awesome fulfillment by the seller!

I have ligament damage in my neck and shoulders, and soft things usually hurt pretty bad after resting on them for awhile, because the ligaments still do not get the support under the bone that is necessary for them to be able to relax. This is firm but very squishy at the same time, like human tissue, and resting on it provides bone support as well as ligament and muscle support all at the same time. When I lay on it for long periods, everything relaxes and doesn't drift out of place like it does with a regular pillow.Just don't get it wet because it will absorb water and swell, but it's still worth that inconvenience. Excellent for neck, back, spine, legs.

Perfect size for neck and lower back relief. Gel can be chilled too. Love it so much I bought 2 for neck and back.

Unfortunately...size matters. Suggest anyone wanting to get this or considering this, actually get out a ruler and measure...we all think we know three inches (wider than we might think) and might think we know what ten inches is (shorter than we might think). Personally with my neck issues I have slept with a rolled towel under my neck and found that somewhat comfortable but wanted the heat and cool options of a gel product. This is indeed gel and does provide very good heat and cool but it takes a lot of maneuvering to make it work for a nighttime option.Unlike the photo which seems to show someone prepared for a massage, few of us lie perfectly flat for night of sleep. Most of us feel as though we are falling back unless we are propped up somewhat and with a short, squat, but thick roll it makes it quite a task getting a pillow under head and getting the under your neck as well. It can be done, but it would really help if this was perhaps an inch thinner, or longer and more pliable so it could rest over the shoulders and permit the sleeper to move at night. But as to this option, it is still far better than the neck pillows that travelers use. And it does work very well for both hot and cold therapy but as firm as it is, the cold therapy may sound better than it feels as it is a bit like laying on a cold sandbag or worse perhaps a satin covered steel bar. Yet I am still giving it four stars because if you are looking at this now, my guess if you have struggled to find options to support you neck and the fact is, it does that, without question. It just takes work to make it comfortable.
