More of a history
Good read, but more of a history lesson and explanation of Stoicism than quotes or application. However, if you are interested in the subject, I would put it on the list of books to go onto your library shelves or coffee table.

A great companion
I’ve been practicing Stoicism for two decades or so. From time to time a refreshing read on ancient philosophy is required. This book hit home. It’s a straightforward approach for those already familiar with the stoic principles but also a great first read for those starting their journey.

Good Information; Very Poor Editing
This was a difficult book to read, not because of content but because it was so very poorly edited. Some sentences were incomplete. Several were repeated word for word in the next sentence or paragraph. I think it would be much better if a good copy editor got ahold of it. I finished it, but it took work because it did not flow. Content was good, but the organization was a mess.

Review
This book provides a profound view on stoic philosophy with good understanding. The index is well sorted but chronology could have been better. The only issue i personally felt was that many a things were repetitive which at times caused boredom.

This "book" is a joke
It is unreadable. The language is ambigouos. I don't think it was ever edited. Two centruries, two milleniums and 20 years are not the same and I am only on page 11. The first chapter about understanding stoicism keeps going around in circles and repeating the same sentences. It looks like a poor Google translation of a mess of unrelated information. I gave up reading it.
