I purchased this to use as a dummy camera, as they were not much more expensive than dummy cameras anyway I thought I'd opt for this instead to make it look more authentic, and I'm so pleased I did.As an extra bonus, I attached a DC power supply to the camera power lead, and although it obviously wont record images, it does power the unit, so at night the sensor activates the infrared lights to light up, so throughout the night all the LED's are red giving the impression it is a fully working camera.The DC adapter was around a fiver, so I have a fully working dummy camera for around £18 including the power adapter, so I'm well pleased.For information, the camera requires a 12V 500ma DC adapter to work, with a 2.1mm x 5.5mm centre positive connector plug.

I bought these to replace a camera and add a further one to my existing system. I was not expecting much for the price but once installed and working I was very impressed with the picture quality and especially the night vision. I have ordered another to add to tge system. These have been added to a home surveillance system.

They can see a lot further than the stated maximum distance if there is extra IR lighting available, it may not be easy to recognise people but it's possible to see what they are doing. These cameras are very reliable, I have not had a failure since installing them about 5 years ago

I have 2 other makes of camera and this one is definitely the lowest quality. For night time security it would be useless, the image is grainy and the LED light is a narrow spotlight. The other cameras have 12 LED's this has 24 so I was expecting it to be better than the others, but it's noticeably the worst. I wanted it for night use mainly so I can keep an eye on my dogs when I let them out at night. I'm going to return it for a refund. Not recommended.

Great value camera for the price point.I had already purchased the Zosi DVR which came with two cameras which, I assumed were identical to this one but they are not....This new one is all metal construction which pleases me but I do feel that the other two cameras supplied with the DVR should have been the same (they look the same but are all plastic).I suppose it's down to cost but slightly disappointed that I now have two plastic cameras and one 'better quality' metal one?!
