Put this on my 2017 Ram 2500 and it has been working great. It was easy to install and so far seems to be working great. Made a nice little upgrade to my tailgate. Haven’t had any issues with it.

I love this thing. It installs fairly easy and it works amazing. It's been on the truck about 6 months now and I use the tailgate almost every day. One knock in the reviews says the stud pulls out but I didn't have any problem with that. Looks really cool when it just eases down instead of banging.

Easy to install and works great.

Installed this tailgate assist on my 2020 Ram 2500 and it’s been working great so far. It makes a noticeable difference when lowering the tailgate. No more heavy drops, just a smooth and controlled motion. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because a few of the parts included weren’t clearly mentioned in the instructions. That said, the install was still pretty straightforward, and I was able to figure everything out without any real issues. Overall, it feels well made, does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and is a great upgrade for the truck. If the instructions were a bit clearer, this would easily be a 5‑star product. I’d still recommend it anyone that is looking for one.

Don’t buy complete waste of money. Gas shock comes off every time I use the tailgate. I gave up putting it back on because it keeps coming off. Zero support, poor quality, Im throwing it in the trash it’s unusable. Totally waste of money don’t waste yours. Unable to return I’ve already thrown the box away because two parts are mounted on my truck not worth the headache to return.

The photos in the manual are washed out B&W print. So it's pretty useless. I saw a couple videos on YouTube, however changes were made to improve durability. I'll include some pics to assist. May take and hour or so depend on your vehicle. It's only been a couple weeks, so we'll see how it goes.

Works great on my Ram 2500 tailgate, no more it dropping like a hammer.

Thing works great as it should but the instructions did not match what was in the box. Looks like they updated the kit to have a plate for the tailgate instead of the ball mount bolt that is shown in the instructions. Tools some common sense to figure it out. Also the plastic spacer for the tailgate catch cable broke when trying to install as well tore the rubber insulation off the cable. Spacer is suppose to prevent the cable from getting stuck behind the strut but it still gets stuck.

Installation was easy maybe 15 mins with hand tools . Works great ! Looks heavy duty I will have to see how long it lasts but good buy for 32 bucks .

It holds the tailgate too long, it shoud be a lighter shock absorber, the bolt that hold it bent after a month, too much pressure
