My doxie loves this toy. I got small for him and he has not chewed it up as yet. I wanted a medium, but they had none in stock. The squeaky is not too loud.

The chicken is durable for my non-aggressive chewer. I have a 4 lb yorkie and the small was a good size. The small size doesn’t flop as much as I hoped but my yorkie doesn’t seem to mind. She loves this toy and it’s her favorite toy to pick up when I am not playing with her. It does have a strong rubber smell when taken out of the bag but it aired out in a day. I would recommend this toy for non aggressive chewers Update: 03/17/2021 my neighbors dog has created a tear in the chicken. I often take the chicken onto my dogs play date as it is a hit with the owners and the dogs, everyone finds it hilarious seeing the dogs chase each other with a chicken in their mouths. The chicken still squeaks even though there is a hole and will still be in use under supervision.
