Great can, but difficult to get gas into it!! (see solution)
Very sturdy with nice funnel - BUT: How can one fill this can, without going each time through the awkward procedure of removing and remounting the funnel? I have solved this problem by drilling a circular 1+3/8" hole into the funnel with a hole saw (see photo). Now, after pulling the lid back, one can stick the pump nozzle through the funnel into the sieve in the can. This should be a standard feature on the funnel!

Great Gas Can (After Modification)
A perfect gas can for chain saw use; it seals well and is easy to use. BUT it should be rated 1 STAR because there is no safe way to get gas into it. Fortunately rater Franz Rosenberger had a great easy to do modification that makes it easy to fill. Drill a hole in the plastic funnel for the filler nozzle. This hole does not interfere with the use of the funnel.Use of the chain saw for me depends on when trees fall down so a metal can that seals with fuel stabilizer (STA-BIL 22208 Fuel Stabilizer, 8. Fluid_Ounces) keeps gas fresh when needed.

Love these cans objects of functional beauty
Love these cans. They are a lifetime investment. You can pass them on to your grandchildren and they would still be able to use them. Love the fact they are made in West Virginia, USA, by a long-time, family-owned business. Sure they cost more than the plastic junk, but they work so well, protect the environment with the ingenious spout and the cap really seals. No more leaked gasoline over the floor of your car on the way home from the station. I own two and they are two of my very prized possessions in the garage. And I have very few prized possessions in the garage. If it were safe to have them in the living room full of gas, I'd store them there just for their quality of construction, origin and usefulness.

Attached funnel doesn't work well: Else fine product
I bought the gas can to put into a motorcycle trunk. My motorcycle only has a 2.5 gallon gas tank, so extra gas is helpful on long trips. The can is easy to add gas to with no funnel (a serious pain if you use funnel as in pictures). The funnel is also hard to get on and off, so something more or less permanent. I cut the funnel mount ring to a C shape so it could be snapped on and off. When adding gas to bike with this arrangement, I sloshed gas all over the motorcycle. So, works better if you use a regular funnel, invert the can (while closed), and then squeeze can trigger just a little to dribble gas into slowly to avoid bathing the bike in gas. System works better for lawn mowers, where you don't care if you dribble a bit, and handlebars are not in the way. Very durable can, and seals really well when closed: I was able to transport a full can in the motorcycle easily with no sloshing or spillage during transport. Also for the rating stars, I don't know what "Stretch" means??

Convenient size for small engines
I am no longer buying plastic gas cans as they are always needing vented and constantly leak when pouring. I appreciate the funnel as part of the can structure so that it is always handy. It does require a little extra effort when filling and using, but it beats the plastic style cans in my opinion. If it finally wears out I can send it to the metal scrap yard instead of the landfill!
