Kal - Pure Stevia Extract Powder 1.3 Oz.

Very pleased with a product with 1 ingredient. The stevia is manufactured in Korea, not sure where the stevia is sourced from. I used to buy a liquid that was made in Brasil but the last couple of bottles the stevia was very difficult to get drops out if it (plastic squeeze type bottle). I've used quite a few different stevia product this one being my favorite.

Stevia- no calories, natural, studies show that it has beneficial metabolic side effects and no negative (unlike most artificial ones that have plenty of negative side effects and no benificial besides the lack of calories). KAL- Stevia- I've tried a few others that ranged from nasty (a not pure powdered, pellets...) to tolerable (a few liquid versions, again, not pure, alcohols and other stuff, if you used a little you got sweetness, if you used a little more you got a strong aftertaste and bitterness). This pure powdered stevia tastes awesome in any kind of reasonable concentration (get way too much in something, which is somewhat easy because you need a fraction of what you need in sugar, and it tastes a little weird, but not awful like the others). KAL is also the cheapest pure powder I've found. Negatives: - Nothing is perfect, it doesn't taste good eaten straight like sugar does ;-) - getting the right amount can be difficult since the right amount is so little. I'm pretty happy using the small holes in the lid and just tapping it a couple times just getting a dusting over my iced tea. - sometimes difficult to dissolve, seems to only be a problem with really cold liquids. Dissolves much better that sugar, not as good as something like the pink stuff - if you spill it it gets sticky sort of like sugar, but it's finer powedered, like confectioners sugar that can be a hassle to clean up

I was looking for a stevia(sm container) that had the little scoop in it. It was impossible to find in the stores in my area. I couldn't even find the container so I went to the internet. This stevia is fine. They claim it has no bitter after taste. I never tasted a bitter after taste with previous stevia I've bought in store. I wanted a container that was small also so i could put in my purse. This will do but bigger then others I've purchased. I paid a high ship fee for this. All powder stevia has trouble dissolving in cold drinks. I love to buy from Amazon as they are always quick ship and never had any trouble with purchases. Would I recommend buying this? If you don't mind paying high ship fee for such a small item. I should have bought a small bag of this in a store(prob. would have had to go to a large city to get it) and just refill the old container. I just thought this would be easy to find in a store. The taste is fine. Not different then other stevia I have purchased.

This is by far the most powerful stevia extract I have tried. It doesn't have a bitter aftertaste as others do. At first, when i saw the "scoop" that comes with it I had to laugh (it's really tiny) but it really is enough for a big mug. I was really happy with KALs brand until I saw it contains maltodextrin (a processed starch filler), which most sweeteners have in their formulas, but I wasn't expecting it in a product that claims to be "pure" stevia extract. I now have enough Stevia to sweeten over 1000 cups of tea or coffee and I'm stuck with it for a while. Next time I will try a different brand without the pesky white powdered additive.

This is a good product. I actually hated the taste at first and thought it was another failed attempt at finding a natural low carb sweetener. However, I found that i could tolerate a little blended with Swerve. Now I can use it on its own in moderation. It's a relief to be able to sweeten things without having to use sugar or the more traditional calorie free sweeteners. I'm glad I stuck with it and adjusted to the taste.
