The only one that works… for us
In my opinion, this is the only product that works and we’ve tried many, courtesy of the one parent who doesn’t treat her nitty kid. IMPORTANT though, you need to tweak the instructions a little.Ignore the 20 mins assurance. It’s not long enough. If you go on the hedrin site, they recommend overnight or 8 hours and this is the only way. It’s very greasy, so use old pillow cases. I put a tea towel between pillow case and pillow to prevent it wrecking my pillows. As soon as you put this on, you’ll see nits coming out to avoid it and after an overnight soak, there should be dead nits on the pillow. They’ll certainly come out with the nit comb.Washing out: this stuff is oil and will stay in your hair for days if you’re not careful (see other reviews). However, I have a tip that works well. When you go to wash out, tip half a yoghurt pot full of washing up Liquid on the hair and massage it (no water just the soap). When it’s covered, rinse. Then use 3 lots of shampoo and 1 of conditioner. The hair will be a little fluffy when dry but it won’t look greasy. Also then, soak the bottom of your bath/shower in washing up suds for an hour or two to get rid of the oil as it’s super slippery!Hope this is helpful.

So far so good!
After a few rounds of wet combing my daughters hair, I found a few lice in my own so I ordered this. Not sure how the 10 heads have been measured as I’ve used the entire bottle on mine and hers! We do have very thick curly hair though. Application was not very easy on myself but fine on my daughter. No horrible scent that I remember from childhood nit treatments either! When I washed my hair, dead lice fell out which was great. I also brushed through with conditioner and a nit comb afterwards and found so many dead newly hatched lice. My head is a little itchy today but I think after another wash it will be fine. I’d read a lot of reviews saying it was impossible to wash out but I didn’t find this. I used loads and loads of cheap shampoo before wetting then washed through with another shampoo after the initial rinse as it doesn’t lather and my hair is lovely and soft. Great product and seems to work first time. Will do a check in a few days to see if it’s kept them at bay!

Seems to have worked
After 3 days of daily of ‘nitty gritty’ combing and one lot of Hedrin shampoo the lice were still very much alive and kicking. So I thought give this a go. One bottle did 2 lots of children with long hair, it smells like pva glue and it’s like covering your hair in olive oil. It took 3 goes to wash out….. but it appears to have worked. 5 days after application no live lice and no obvious eggs. Really pleased with the result.

It works but is a real hassle to use and expensive
This is horrible stuff to use but most importantly it works. I've uses it a number of times on my child and it has worked every time to get rid of nits and head lice. The problem is its resistance to water, meaning you have to put it on dry hair and rub in, before putting copious amounts of shampoo directly on your hair, before washing off with water. It then takes a few days and more washes before it is fully gone. But I still use it because it works. It is also ridiculously expensive in my view as it doesn't go far with long hair.

Awful pointless pricey product
I use Hedrin as a reliable brand. But this product out of their range is nothing sort of very expensive thick gloopy oil. Awful feeling, hard to wash out. Poor scent - oily and nothing pleasant. No active ingredient to combat the problem - merely and oil based gloopy liquid that suffocates the lice. They said it has something that breaks through egg casings but as you have to wash it off after 15 mins and reapply this seems lacking in its effectiveness. I’m stunned they charged this much for gloopy oil. Not impressed. Would not advise under any circumstances.
