I use these very well made brushes to clean my CPAP hoses! It's quick and affordable.

For the price I was not sure what to expect. I opened the package and the brush kind of sprung out as it uncoiled to its 6 foot length. I was again skeptical about how this wiggly thing would work. I was pleasantly surprised when I actually had no problems feeding the brush full length into my CPAP hose and then pulling it out. The brush bristles reached all the nooks and crannies and I feel like my hose got really clean. I wrapped it back up and store it in the zip top bag it came in. The smaller brush worked well cleaning my mask parts. Overall I am very happy with this product.

Once sufficient mold and bacteria accumulate, no amount of swishing soapy water around will clean the inside of a CPAP tube. You will notice a smell, and you will begin to fall ill. I put off buying this too long. Now, I realize this is a mandatory accessory for CPAP users. It arrives "flattened" but will bounce back into shape with the first use. To my reckoning, some floor space is needed once you begin working the brush inside your tube. Put the ringed "handle" in first, and push the flex rod in until the handle appears on the opposite side and the bristles are safely inside the tube. Lay everything down and start scrubbing the tube in sections, about a foot at a time. Back and forth, then slide down, back and forth again. Plain dish soap works, but there are better plant-based soaps without dyes and scents available, and customers swear by them. Rinse everything out with HOT water and hang to dry. Herein you realize the "drawback" of using the brush" Where do you keep it? Perhaps rolled up in a gallon-size freezer bag? Hanging in some discrete corner of the house? Probably don't want to seal it away while wet, in any case. Clean that tube properly, and the odors and health risks disappear. I do not believe it is necessary to use the brush every time you clean. Your personal schedule and CPAP usage will reveal what works best for you. I'm not so sure the little brush and wand are equally useful.
