When I ran out, I started searching for a tea that I could purchase here that tasted the same. I couldn't find anything that came close - until now! This tea from Rishi is virtually identical, and I absolutely love it. It has the deep, earthy, robust flavor of japanese green tea, but is also very smooth, and not bitter. It is the combination of the macha and the green tea leaves that gives it this complex and satisfying profile. Highly recommended!!

**Q: Is this 100% matcha?**
A: No, it is not; it is mostly sencha  leaves + a little dusting of matcha.

**Q: Why is California Proposition 65 noted in Rishi tea description??**
A: because it contains lead. That is quite unusual for teas from Japan. Maybe that is because that is a blend (both from japan?)

**Q: Is it good to make it at night and drink in the morning? Or will it loose its healthyness?**
A: I imagine it would not lose anything if refrigerated at less than 40 degrees.

**Q: how many ounces is in each sachet?**
A: Only 2.7 grams per sachet. The net weight listed on the box is 1.43 ounces (40.5 grams). That is for all 15 sachets and might include the sacred material, string and paper. An ounce equals 28.3495 grams. Dry herbs and teas are very light. Just look on the spice rack in your local store. You might that you are paying $15.00 per pound for, say, cumin.

This tea from Rishi is virtually identical, and I absolutely love it. It has the deep, earthy, robust flavor of japanese green tea, but is also very smooth, and not bitter.
