Power Steering Seals - OEM Power Steering Torque Sensor for Ford Escape with Alignment Tool CL8Z-3F818-A

Replaced the sensor on my 2010 Escape with 120,000 miles on it. Failed once and code showed sensor to be the fault. Then continued to function after that. Decided to replace it and this one is the same as the OEM. Local dealer priced it at $375! Bought the big hinder snap ring pliers at Harbor Freight to handle that snap ring. All went well and seems to function perfectly. I did not have to do a SAS reset. Drives fine so far.

So I have experience with cars and I have swapped out these steering columns several times. I buy the columns used from eBay but never have successfully swapped out the sensor it’s self. I did it one time and the wheel went all the way to the left and had not done enough research so I ended up towing it to the dealer with another used column and had them program it. Total waste of money that was! Once u get the sensor installed and the dot lined up u will throw it off getting the rest of it put together, but it doesn’t matter. Once together with the wheel straight turn the key on and with a scan tool program the sensor. So u program it before starting the car. That’s how I did it and it works great! Super easy to turn the wheel!
