Cleanup is a breeze and this brush does a great job!
I had been using the grooming gloves that have rubber nubs to brush my cat: he loved it, but it was very difficult and messy to get all of the hair off of the gloves after brushing. So, I purchased this brush in the Small size (my Russian Blue rescue โSmokeyโ weighs 14 pounds). What a huge difference!! 1) Brush effectively removes loose hair & smooths his coat 2) One press of a button retracts brush & lets you grasp the hair for easy disposal 3) Brush is lightweight & maneuverable, with hole in handle for hanging 4) My cat loves this brush and looks even more handsome after a brushing session. Highly recommend!

Good for cats
This works well on cats. It's a sturdy brush that cleans quickly and has been a boost to keeping coats shiny.

Good basic brush
First of all, I should mention that I have a bichon, a curly-coated dog with hair, not fur. That means she doesnโt shed fur, but it must be regularly brushed out. I have no idea how this works for other types of coats. This is a good basic brush. My bichon has fine hair that is super curly. That means it tangles easily, and can mat especially in certain areas. I brush her a couple of times per week, and some brushes pull and are uncomfortable. When that happens, sheโs not shy about letting me know. Sheโs totally at ease when I use this brush on her, but it also does a good job getting down to her skin (without scratching) and getting the loose hairs and tangles. I can easily brush her all over, even her sensitive feet and under her neck, without her pulling away. In fact, the worst thing about brushing sessions now is that she might be dozing and not want to turn over! As shown in the pics, getting the hair out of the brush is super easy, and to clean it, I use a wipe with the bristles down. The handle is comfortable enough. I donโt use it for long stretches, so it might be different if I were brushing a bigger dog. Iโve only had it for a month or so now, so if anything shows up long-term, Iโll update. So far, though, itโs exactly what we wanted.

Works on a Great Pyrenees
We have 2 Great Pyrenees and both hate being brushed. We use the slick in addition to a comb and a rake. The previous slicker we used did not have any knobs at the end of the teeth on the brush and my dogs hated that brush, but it works so well on their long double coats. I caught my hand with the brush a few times and drew blood so I knew I needed another style. I picked this one since it has the little knobs at the end of the teeth, so it will be more forgiving against the skin. I liked the idea of the self cleaning brush. On the previous brush I would run the comb through it to remove the fur. With this brush, the button can be a little hard to engage/disengage. You slide the button forward and back. When it's empty it moves ok, but when you have fur in the brush it only slides back to a point and you need to pull the fur out of the brush to completely retract the teeth. This is fine for me and certainly makes cleaning the brush easier. The size of the head is nice and large so it is great for larger dogs. The head is very think though to allow the teeth to retract. This makes the brush feel a little clunky, but otherwise pretty comfortable in the hand. The teeth themselves are flexible, which helps prevent scratching the skin, but I've noticed some of them are bent in the wrong direction, so I'm not sure how well the brush will hold up over time. Overall it's a decent purchase. My dogs still hate being brushed but that is a work in progress.

Easy to use and my cat loves it
This cat brush is amazing and so easy to use. I had been using "grooming gloves" but because I have small hands, I found them to be awkward to use. It was also difficult to removed the fur, even though I followed advice from other users and sprayed them with water before using. This brush has been the perfect solution. I especially love that when you are finished brushing your pet, the bristles retract and all you have to do is lift the clump of fur off of the pad. My cat loves it too and comes running as soon as I get it out of the cupboard. Because this is so easy to use, I am brushing my cat almost every day.

Works great
Absolutely love this brush. No more struggle to clean out. My pup has wiry hair and works through the toughest parts without hurting her. She doesnโt mind grooming any longer. She says itโs a keeper

Very efficient dog brush
This dog brush does exactly what it says it does. Being able to eject the hair is so easy. Makes it so easy that you probably wanna brush your dog a couple times a day!
