Excellent monitor!
The monitor was recommended to me by an environmental health professor at the University of Tennessee. It works great, and the instructions are very easy to understand. I have mass cell activation and need to have consistent and reliable readings for my environment. The battery life is very good as it lasts quite a while before needing to be charged. There are no batteries which I like, and charging is easy. The readings are clear and I would suggest reading over the instructions as humidity can cause fluctuations that are inconsistent with correct numbers. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone who has chemical sensitivities or does not want to breathe air that is toxic. We have had some remodeling and it has been a lifesaver, knowing which environments were safe. I highly recommended it!

Sensor failed after 22 months of light use. Do not buy this product.
This product worked really well as an indoor/outdoor air monitor for ~22 months before it lost all accuracy on PM2.5 and PM10, which now consistently reach levels that are 1.5-2x higher than they should be compared to stationary air monitors (PurpleAir, IQAir). The support window for the product is 24 months - which I didn't find out about until I was a week over the window, holding a product that failed several weeks beforehand. I was hoping the inaccuracy was just a temporary issue and the device would self-correct, but it's clear at this point that the sensor won't function correctly anymore so the device is utterly useless for PM2.5 and PM10 measurements. I strongly encourage others to consider another device and do not recommend buying this product (and I wouldn't consider other products from this brand either, as this is a sensor issue - the heart of the product - and that sensor isn't markedly different in this device vs. many others they sell). I've very carefully used, stored, and protected my device for nearly 2 years, and during that time it's been used infrequently during summer months when wildfire smoke is something to be cautious about for outdoor activities. A product that's been so well cared for shouldn't fail outright like this.

Reliable, Easy To Use Air Quality Monitor
Purchased this to monitor the air quality in my home. It comes with great instructions and is very easy to use. It displays consistent readings so I've found this monitor to be very reliable and sensitive to factors that could impact the readings. The battery life is sufficient especially is using it for several hours but could be a bit longer. It comes with a charging cord, readings are easy for us non-air quality professionals. It's great value for the money and works very well. We use it several times a week both inside and outside. Easy to travel with as well to take along on trips to monitor air quality various places.

Accurate AQI, TVOC, HCHO Readings
Sometimes ya get what ya pay for. Not disappointed by performance of this quality device. Readings agree with my Davis AQI monitors. Quick to update results on the display. Especially in the home, a reliable handheld device that displays Accurate AQI, TVOC, HCHO Readings let you know "How Much" so you can address unhealthy levels of contaminants in your personal space. A little work to monitor can help you improve your indoor air quality. Have a high AQI reading in your home from high pollen or neighbor's smoker going all night? Turn on a box fan fitted with a MERV 13 air filter and monitor the result. Have an unhealthy TVOC HCHO reading in the home and much lower reading outside?? Position a fan to exhaust (suck) inside air one one side of the house and open a couple of windows on the opposite side (and monitor the TVOC HCHO readings. Yes, the AQI may go up while the "fresh" air is flowing from outside but the MERV filters will take AQI readings lower when the TVOC HCHO exhaust process is complete.

Essential tool to measure air pollution
The AQI meter seems pretty accurate in measuring air pollution. I put it outside when I want to measure the air pollution and in a couple of minutes I get a good measurement. It's pretty close to what I get from my local airnow readings. The airnow readings are much more precise and accurate because they use a very expensive machine but the airnow readings are an average of the last hour or so and my meter measures the moment I am looking at it. Plus the airnow machine is 6 miles away and may not be accurate to my local area as it is in the area it is measuring. It is supposed to be 91 percent accurate as opposed to the purpleair meter which is a little higher in accuaracy. All the purpleair readings I see on their website comes up much higher than airnow and my meter because there are two settings on the purple air and the default setting is much higher. As a result, it is hard to compare the TemTop meter with the purpleair meter. Overall, I like the TemTop meter as it measures air quality well.

Great measurements but dated enclosure+display and only modest battery life
I'm very happy with the particle and VOC measurements that I'm getting from this thing. The numbers seem reasonable and they update with only modest delay relative to the triggering event (e.g., lighting a match). It even tipped me off to unhealthy particle concentrations in the air coming from outdoors---which I found out after the fact was being reported in the news, I think because of wildfires from Canada blowing south toward NY. And it showed that my car has unhealthy VOC levels when I first start it and that it takes a good 5 minutes of airflow for them to drop down to healthy levels. I had no idea. But the main thing I got this for is still coming up: tracking the particle and VOC concentrations while soldering to check if my relatively cheap fume extractor is working as advertized (looking at you, Weller) or whether I need to cough up the big ponies for a more proper model. I do have some complaints: the plastic feels super cheap for this price point and it smudges easily, the screen display is super basic, and the supporting flap in the back that allows you to set this vertically on the table opens far too little to provide decent support---the end result being that this thing is constantly tipping over. Who on earth approved that flap design? It makes zero sense and it's almost useless. Overall this thing feels like it was designed way back in the 90s with just the bare minimum updates done to keep selling it year after year. Not saying that is the case, just saying how I perceive it. I think the bright orange and black looks awesome and they should keep it, but the plastic needs to be higher quality, the supporting flap needs to be redesigned to pull back more for support, and the digital display needs to be refreshed to convince us consumers that it was designed in this decade. The battery life is not super impressive for a device this small and basic though it seems to last 6+ hours between recharges. I'm not familiar with the sensor electronics so I don't know if they are just expected to consume that much battery, but, you know, modern portable devices get far better battery life than this on far more demanding tasks than this. I love that the device does what I need it to do very well---to track particle and VOC levels over time in a package that I can trust. But I think at this price point they need to do better on the packaging, display, and battery life. So I'm giving you three stars, TemTop.

Could not have been better!
When you live in a neighborhood with, mixed income let's say, eventually you find yourself having to deal with seedy people When the neighbor "cooks" it's never the particulate matter that's the issue, it's some type of "VOC" that is produced, that, over time, will not be conducive to overall health BTW, law enforcement should buy these by the pallet

Zufrieden
Einfache Bedienung. Die Messwerte scheinen plausible zu sein. Die aufklappbare Halterung auf der Hinterseite lässt sich leider nur etwas schwer öffnen.

Well worth the money
Brilliant piece of kit. Every home should have one. Highlights where the pullants are- kitchen surfaces, extractor fan not working, dust build up. Also brilliantly it reacts quickly - like opening windows. If you have allergies get one of these. As it’s portable it’s great because you can walk around with it to check areas.

Great tool
It works and is very useful in the wood fire smoke pollution season. Easy to use also.
