WITH MY SHP9500 PHILIPS.. 1 downside is that its closed compact and not open.. but no problem ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Extremely conformable and allow ears to breathe without sacrificing sound quality. *by A***1 on Reviewed in Canada on 27 October 2021* I normally don't review products but I had to for these Alcantara ear pads. I was blown away by the comfort these earpads offered after long hours of wearing my headphones while at the same time maintaining similar sound quality to the original M40x earpads. I play PC games, edit videos, and listen to music for long hours and the problem with the original M40x earpads were that they didn't allow heat to escape so my ears were hot and sweaty after a couple of hours of having them on. These earpads on the other hand solved that problem while also maintaining the good sound quality the original m40x offered. How? I don't know but Shure managed to get it done. These earpads are pricy but they're worth the investment if your use your headphones for long hours and have the sweaty ears issue. Basically these earpads allow your ears to breathe (allow heat to escape through the earpads unlike the PU leather earpads) and still maintain good sound quality.
