This is an excellent product!!!! Very convenient and perfect for kids. LCD monitor is crystal clear, with amazing sound and beautiful design. Play perfectly, I would recommend this DVD player to anyone, they will not regret in buying this.

Well, I’m very pleasantly surprised by this little unit! For the money, I think it’s excellent.I suppose my reasons for buying it are rather unusual - it’s not for children, or for travelling, or as our sole means of watching DVDs - but I just wanted some means of watching DVDs of films and series that my wife isn’t bothered about watching, on my lap or in bed. Our regular means of watching a film or a series is on our laptop, which has a large 17” as we use it instead of a TV. It’s great, but it’s a big old beast if you want to balance it on your lap.If I want to watch something on my own, I’d normally use the laptop to convert the files to a format that will play on my iPad, and use that instead. But that takes time, and not everything can be converted.So. That’s where this little chap comes in.Let’s start with the housing. It’s light, it’s plastic, and I can imagine that if you were t careful with it, it could break and crack in all sorts of places very easily. So I’m going to be careful with it. But it’s light, which is just what I wanted.It’s a very very nice size. Easy to balance on a lap, and the screen size is perfect for the viewing range.The picture quality? It’s okay. If I’m perfectly honest, the colours are a little lurid, and the sharpness isn’t brilliant, but what do you expect?? If I wanted HD I’d use the big laptop screen! I grew up with those little pocket LCD televisions, which I watched under the bed covers and thought were amazing, so maybe I’m easily pleased, but I think the picture quality on this is just fine. Perfectly watchable, and clear enough for me.The sound quality? That’s surprisingly good! Really good, in fact. If I’m using the speakers the volume needs to be up fairly high, but I use headphones 95% of the time and the sound is superb. Really clear, with no hiss or machine noise.Audio is more important to me than the picture quality, so this is a clear win.In terms of machine noise, yes, there’s a little bit of “fuss” when it starts up, and some when you switch from chapters to scenes etc, but it’s really not that bad. My wife was asleep in bed next to me and it didn’t disturb her.I’ll be honest, I can’t really see a need for a remote control, so I haven’t used that yet. I guess if you’re connecting it to a TV you’d need it??The buttons on the unit itself are a bit loud and clicky, but I’m not exactly going to be typing a letter on it, so I don’t really care.The price is very reasonable, the build is fine, the picture quality is good, and the sound is great. It does exactly what I wanted, and I’m very happy!

Handy size ,good sound and picture and takes several formats .I would like earphones to be included but they are not too expensive to buy if needed .Very good value for money .

Bought for husband. Quite noisy. It is nice and portable. I like it more than my husband, who would like a bigger screen. Still playing with settings to get picture right. Sound quite good , even better with headphones. Was going to send it back due to it being noisy. Didn't bother . Cant hear the noise if you have on headphones.
