Purchased this to make for my wife. Yes, I have been doing counted cross stitch for many years. I'm very good, and we have many of my completed projects hanging on our walls. This is going to be beautiful if I ever finish it. Fair warning! This is NOT an easy project done in a day or two. Very complex with areas where you'll have a few stitches of one color in one little area and then the same color halfway across the canvas. It is definitely going to be a challenge, but it will be beautiful when completed. Again, not for a casual stitcher. And it is going to take a long time to complete. Bur, if you want a challenge, be ready!

I really like the Dimensions Stamped kits. Good price. More than enough thread comes with the kit. Easy to follow instructions. This was my first cross stitch and found it enjoyable.I like the way Dimensions sets up the threads on an easy labled sorter card. Had plenty of thread even after I had to redo some of my stitches and did some of the items that weren't meant to be sewn {but wanted to do more!}. I plan to make mine into a small pillow instead of framing it. I have even bought more of the Dimensions cross stitch kits and found that all the colors from one kit to the next match up if the same colors are used. This can be helpful if I really mess up and don't want to wait on having some mailed to me and have used the same color in another kit. I am now working on my 3rd kit from Dimensions. Soon I'll be ready for one of the "Counted" cross stitch kits. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys cross stitch including beginners.

I bought this for a gift but I chose it because I’ve done many crewel embroidery pictures and this one looked like a great project for the recipient. Note that it comes with all you need EXCEPT a hoop.

I loved the picture but didnt realize it didnt come with aida cloth. It came with some other kind of material that was so fine that I couldnt see where the squares were even with a magnifying glass. I'm so disappointed. I wanted to work on this while I was recovering from surgery, but that's impossible with that fine material. So now I have to wait until I'm able to walk and get out of the house and I guess I'll have to go to a fabric store to buy some aida cloth.
