These are a great snack!

My family tried these Oregon Natural Hazelnuts in three flavors, Cinnamon, Spicy BBQ, and Sweet Savory. None of these flavors listed salt as an ingredient, and they didn’t taste as if they had salt. That makes these really friendly for those on low sodium diets.Our verdicts:1) Cinnamon. My favorite, although I added just the barest touch of Barry Farms plain superfine popcorn salt. (What can I say? I’m a salt-aholic.)2) Sweet and Savory. The rest of the family’s favorite. Frankly, I thought this flavor was delicious also, and it was hard to choose a favorite for me.3) Spicy BBQ. Good, but no one’s favorite.All three versions of these Oregon hazelnuts were very, very pure with high-quality ingredients. See the pictures I’ve included for ingredients lists. Personally, I wouldn’t have minded some salt in all these, but I know that can block a lot of people from being able to eat these.I received these in mid-March 2021 with an expiration date of mid-January 2022, so plenty of freshness, and these babies aren’t going to make it even a few weeks anyway. Oregon Farm To Table - Hazelnuts from Premium Growers – are delicious. They check all the boxes in what I want in my nuts in general and hazelnuts in particular. They’re dry roasted and arrive fresh and crunchy. The flavors are roasted in as opposed to those that have some flavored powder sprinkled on at the last minute. These are non-GMO and are a great KETO snack. I’ve tried several of the tasty flavors offered from Premium Growers:The BBQ tastes like summer. The spice blend is spicy and a little sweet. It goes perfectly with burgers.The Sweet Cinnamon is my favorite. It reminds me of cinnamon toast and it’s the most-liked by my nieces.The Sweet Savory is addicting. I can’t have these set out as I’ll grab a handful each time I walk past. They are blended with sugar, salt, chili pepper, red pepper, garlic, natural maple flavor, onion, orange peel, paprika, molasses, and black pepper.I like nuts. I guess I’m a true Nutty. You can trust me when I say these are a great choice. You can thank me later.

I received a 16 ounce resealable of spicy barbeque hazelnuts by Oregon Hazelnuts.Texture-they are wonderfully crunchy.Appearance- They are all whole hazelnuts with a red coating. This is not a powdered coating. It clings to the nut.To taste- Spicy, these are not. There is the slightest kick to them but overall very mild. This works for me as to I don't like super spicy things anymore. Barbeque flavor- they are slightly flavored with a light barbeque seasoning. If anything they are more salty than spicy or barbeque flavor. The salt is integrated into the hazelnut. Not just a sprinkle of salt on the outside. A little salty for me.I have shared a photo of the ingredient list.4 stars because they are a good crunchy hazelnut and the heat level is a minimum. Not 5 stars because they are a bit salty for my taste. I would prefer a stronger barbeque flavor and also a seasoning that I could lick off my fingers.

First of all, I've never had hazelnuts before I tried these, not counting the widely popular chocolate hazelnut spread we all know. These nuts are delicious! They're just the right size for snacking and don't fall apart into a bunch of pieces. I'd definitely be interested in trying the other flavors! The hazelnuts on their own would be great with just a touch of salt. The FLAVOR of the seasonings on the spicy BBQ are good - not too weak, not too strong, and they allow the hazelnut flavor to come through. They aren't spicy in the slightest, but I think it works. I just don't like it when products are labeled as "spicy" but aren't spicy at all. It feels misleading to me. Granted, everyone has their own levels of heat they can handle, but if my son, who thinks regular ketchup is too spicy, can eat it, it's not spicy. In summary, hazelnuts are awesome and the BBQ spices/flavoring on these is good.

Wanted to try these as I've been eating roasted hazelnuts from Trader Joe's for a while, but the flavoring is a new feature. On one hand, the taste overall is pretty good - sweet, salty, spicy, and smoky all at the same time. But a couple of reservations that made me withhold a full five stars. First, there's much more sugar in here than I anticipated, so the healthiness here goes down a notch; similarly there are a few other ingredients I'm not fan of from a health perspective. Second, and more importantly, they are indeed addictive, but my tummy could only handle a few handfuls at a time. Not sure what it is, but I'd suggest a review of the ingredient list before purchasing to make sure you're good, digestively speaking. Very good product overall, just take it slow and know that this isn't a pure health food.

These come in a plastic resealable bag. Mine were very fresh with an expiration date about a year out. The nuts were all crunchy, good size, mostly whole and perfectly roasted.They appear to be glazed and roasted. The spice isn't just put on- it's baked on. It's not very strong as a barbecue flavor, but rather mild, smokey, and saltier more than sweet.My husband found them a bit too salty. I would have liked a stronger barbeque flavor. They are good and make a nice snack, but everyone in the family felt they could be better if the spice recipe were tweaked a bit for less salt and more flavor. The cooking time on the nuts seems just right though.
