If I could give this zero stars, I would: never worked, and Technical Support was not helpful.
If I could give this zero stars, I would. This arrived with a broken head--the lens had fallen out, so you could not focus it anymore. Tried to tape it into place, and it sort of worked. For about 5 minutes. Then it shut off, and it won't turn on again. The 1-800 # for technical service had its number changed. When I finally was able to reach someone, they were of zero help. "Did you plug it in?" Yes. "Did you close the unit?" Yes. They tried anything to wriggle out of the fact that this was defective projector. Had to return it. Had to pay shipping. Ugh.

If You Can Get It Shipped in One Piece, It's Not a Bad little Overhead Projector.
The overhead is - ok...It is constructed out of lite-weight plastic, very little metal (only where necessary), resulting in something that is easy to move. For women, this is great. All the stuff, disassembles and stores in the lower unit. So, it is easy/convenient for portable applications.Normal transportation wear and tear should not be an issue. However, all that lite-weight plastic - will not - survive a tumble down the stairs - nor, UPS shipping it seems.I went thru two of these critters. The first one arrived with the lens in the upper unit busted free, destroying two retaining clips. And,The lower unit lamp assemble (one of the few metallic parts) was broken free of it's plastic supports. The only lamp that was supposed to be in there - had gone missing - too.I did still manage to get it to work, by laying the remaining pieces back into their approximate positions. This resulted in a thoroughly view-able image... So, I sent it back and tried for another one.The second one did not arrive as a box in a box.Just a box, off the shelf from the warehouse...Oddly enough, that survived better... though not completely.None of the plastic was trashed - but, there was one small machine screw that was loose, rattling around in there. It took some time - but, I finally figured out the it went to locking down the secondary lamp socket. All the other tiny machine screws were loose, too... re-tightening was simple. This one worked just fine.It has two levels of brightness, which supports well - viewing in rooms of varying ambient light.Springing for an additional lamp, allows one to deal with blown bulb a bit more gracefully. It doesn't have much of a hot spot in the middle. The illumination is more even in the corners. The focus is fairly crisp in the corners. It's well ventilated. The cooling fan is not distracting. If you can get it delivered with all the pieces, It's not a bad little overhead. If you can get it delivered in one piece = even better.

No Bulb Included!
I bought this from Amazon, after looking at a bunch of different models online, and finding that it was hard to tell them apart. The product description for the Apollo 3000 said it worked well in a room with 50 - 100 people, so I figured it would work well in my art studio, where I need to project drawings on a 14 foot high wall, and I can set the projector as far back as 50 feet from the wall.Maddeningly NONE of the following information was included in the Amazon product description: How far back can you set the projector before it won't focus? How close can you be to the projection screen or wall? What kind of bulb does it take? Does the bulb come with it or do I have to buy the bulb separately? It turns out this projector DOES NOT COME WITH A BULB. And I had no idea what bulb to order, or how much a replacement bulb would cost. Once I had the projector unpacked and set up, which took just about a minute, I had to make a half hour trip to find the bulb at a local Staples, which charged me $30. And I could have got a bulb from Amazon for $5 or $6!The projector seems to work fine, although it's a little fuzzy when you are 50 feet back from the screen. Focus is NOT the most precise I have ever seen. It is very bright and can easily be used in a room with the window shades left open, which is great. (I am replacing an old Opaque Projector, which was so dim you needed total blackout conditions to use effectively).I took off two stars due to the poor information provided in the Product Description, and because the manufacturer was too cheap to include a bulb that would have cost them a couple of bucks at most! Otherwise I'm pleased with my purchase.

Good projector for a reasonable price.
So, I have found that these projectors are kind of hard to find in an actual store, but this one really did the job well. It did come with a lamp and also came very quickly, and was fairly easy to assemble. All in all a good purchase.
