Nice boot but -40f ??
It says it is rated for -40f however I couldn't believe it due to the minimal amount of insolation so I returned them.

Fantastic
My friends sang high praises for this brand and I must say, they are living up to their expectations. Comfortable, warm and dry.

Amazing boots!
I spent the winter of 2011-2012 in Glacier National Park, Montana. It started snowing in early November, and I quite literally didn't see bare ground until April 13th. The temperature averaged +5F, with a high temp all winter of +35F and a week of sub -20F weather. It was a cold and snowy winter (which actually was disappointingly tame compared to many winters here--as one who loves severe weather, I was a little disappointed!).I purchased these boots after two weeks of using tennis shoes and lightweight boots in the snow. Anything would have been an improvement but these things were amazing. Even with temperatures approaching -30F, my feet were toasty and dry. When things warmed up, they remained comfortable, never becoming too warm. They are incredibly easy to put on: no lacing, your feet just slide in. Properly sized, the boot is comfortsbly snug; I never felt as though my foot might slip out, and at no time did my foot feel cramped. Removing the boots is only slightly more difficult. I found that by stepping on the heel of one boot, I could fairly easily slip out of the other boot. I was initially concerned that I might damage the heel doing this, but after a full season of daily wear (and for several hours each day), there is no evidence of any problems. Still, this winter I intend to invest in a boot remover just to make removal slightly easier and to ensure I don't do any damage. One indispensable feature of this boot is the ability to insert custom orthotics. I have used custom orthotics for years. Even in some running shoes, orthotics don't fit well, which causes almost immediate pain in my knees and feet, making standing and walking extremely painful. Because of this, I was very concerned about how wearable these boots might be, it is a great testament that I actually regretted having to go back to my shoes in the spring. The included arch supports remove easily, and once removed, my orthotics fit perfectly. At no time did I ever experience discomfort in my feet or knees. These boots were recommended to me by several locals. Many of them use the higher knee-level boots for hunting in the winter, and they all raved about their comfort, warmth, and durability. A few times during the heavier snowfalls, snow entered the boot from the top and made the interior lining moist. However, the boots dried out within hours without need for a boot dryer.I could not have survived the winter here without these boots, but more importantly, these boots made the winter really enjoyable. Hopefully, next winter will be a bit colder and snowier; with these boots I'm well prepared to experience the truly extreme winter I crave.

Hole in boot in a couple months
Boots developed a hole on top of boot where boot flexes while walking. rubber is cracked and not longer waterproof. Not not the quality I expected.

Very good quality
Wasn't sure the even size would work for me and didn't want to buy too big and get blisters. I wear from a 6.5-7.5 womens, depending on the shoe type and brand. My second toes are longer than my big toes, so most closed toe shoes cause me a lot of discomfort if I have to wear them for too long.I used to wear a mens size 5.5 Converse highttop which fit fine, so I tried the mens 5 and it actually fits me very well and is roomy around the toes so I can wear them with no pain at all. I was worried they were a bit snug around the ankle and midfoot initially, but perhaps I was just a little puffy when I first tried them on. I like the snug fit now as I've gotten zero blisters. They are a little slick on the soles, despite exaggerated treads and their being Arctic boots - I've nearly bit it going down our icy back porch stairs and have slipped once or twice on our mud-clay in areas where there is an incline, but that's probably inevitable. No falls yet. They also feel a little stiff, but I'm getting used to it (although I do get Frankenstein references popping through my mind every. Single. Time I put them on and start walking (cant helo it!)Yesterday we were out back several hours in 35-50* windy weather using the water hose on and off most of the day and I was toasty warm and dry. Looking forward to the snow this year as I know I won't feel it like previous years here. My husband HATES to get his feet wet - bought him a pair too (thank God for super-big sizes in these) and he loves them. He's usually a "whatever's easiest" guy when dressing, but he goes for these happily everytime it's been raining.Easy to clean, smack them together a few times and hose them off.

I’m size 11 but bought size 12 for extra socks.I sit outside for long periods no moving and my feet suffer with the cold. These were recommended to me and with two pairs of Smartwool Hunting socks my feet are toasty for the first time ever. Ideal for fishing and shooting I would think, hardly any real weight and going by friends, they last for years. £100 is a lot of money to me but glad I bought them.

Last few days were -25C when I went outside to snowshoe and boots were warm enough and comfortable to snowshoe in
I ordered a size 12 even though I am an 11. I wear 2 pairs of socks and they are ok. Last few days were -25C when I went outside to snowshoe and boots were warm enough and comfortable to snowshoe in. Only complaint I have is they are hard to get off. Too slippery and tight to pull off by putting one foot behind the heel of the other and pull off. I have to sit down and pull them off with both hands and it is hard to do. I will be building or buying a boot jack. Other than that, seem like a good quality boot.

Love these boots
Warm, comfortable, waterproof, and reasonably priced. I work outside, and these are some of my favorite boots ever. Much grippier than most other winter boots, which means less effort to walk in deep snow. They're very warm without the bulk and weight of other options. Sadly, they're not durable enough to crash through the forest all day, but not many boots are. I wrecked them in about 3 months of daily abuse. I think these would last normal people for many years. I liked them enough to buy them for my kids.

A good experience
Superb comfort and a quality grip on the sole. I haven’t worn them in cold conditioned as yet but think they would do the job of keeping my feet warm.

tough and comfortable
We have been wearing muck boots for several years. They last a long time, have good grips, and are comfortable. Warm enough for very cold weather. Much better than a rubber boot or felt pac!
