But really had no choice. My original Huawei P9 was almost dead and didn't really need a new phone so gave it a go.Firstly the fitting, the tools are ok but watch a video and use the plectrum shaped thing to for easing the case off. I used a Stanley knife to get it started, managed to remove the screen first so had to find another groove to remove the case. This was a bit fiddly but was ok, just ease the case apart. Its worth connecting the new battery and testing it at this stage. Battery removal was a bit fraught, it bends really easily and potentially will get really hot but mine didnt. The glue smells like chewing gum and is really sticky. Take care not to damage the strip connectors when removing the battery. Remove and then replace with new battery, reconnect, can be a bit fiddly but all doable. All in all it took me about 90 mins as I took it really slowly and didnt want to break anything. I reckon now I could do it in about 10!The product works really well, had it about 5 days so lets see how it goes over time but so far charges at a good rate and retains the charge really well. Normal use, whatever that is, a 100% charge last well over 24 hours. And I watch youtube videos, surf and play games.All in all I was not confident of my abilities to do this, but take it slowly, watch a couple of videos and you will be fine. A good, so far, purchase which really did exceed my expectations. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rejuvinate your phone with a new battery *by P***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 August 2020* The battery on my Huawei P9 was lasting about 6 hours from full charge to flat and it would sometimes switch off during a phone call. I like the P9 and can't be bothered with getting a new phone and spending ages getting it set up how I like it, so a new battery seemed like a good idea and this one was the best as it has a bit more mAH than the others.The new battery arrived next day along with a pair of phone opening pliers. I watched a couple of you tube videos on how to do it and started. The phone opening pliers allowed for a much more controlled opening of the case without damage. The glue behind the battery wouldn't come out like they show you and so it had to be prized out of the case gently. It eventually came out using the supplied spodger as a lever. I cut the supplied glue stick down as it was too long and too wide, new battery fitted, connectors reconnected, case clipped and screwed back together. Done.Well that was easy.Battery life is now better than when the phone was new and it was good then. So a good purchase and it is easier than it sounds to replace the battery.A couple of things that may help;For safety make sure your old battery is as flat a possible before you start as it is easy to puncture it when getting it out.Warm up your phone before you start, this will soften the glue holding the battery in. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Watch a online tutorial first *by C***3 on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 January 2020* There is a very good YouTube tutorial to follow posted by another, with lot of helpful comments by others. It is clear and honest and in real time. I couldn't do it as fast as the technician, he took 30-40 mind and I took twice as long. The two tricky bits are getting the case open, and getting the old battery out, as it is glued\taped in very well. The tools with the battery are very helpful, if not essential.
