Super wordy...but then again it IS a book! We had so much already planned that we didnt end up using it much but then again...I may have to wait until my 4 year old has more of M attention span.

This was a big hit! I got it for my sister and her family who just bought a camper and they were thrilled to have some activity ideas for the kids!

This will be a fun book when we go camping for the first time as a family of young kids

Great resource. Good ideas for a variety of ages and tips and suggestions for the whole family. I really liked how many of the activities required little to no supplies or materials other than the outdoors.

Inspiring yet practical guide to making the most of family outdoor adventures. Beautiful enough for a coffee table with a great layout and fun photos. But this guide isn't meant for a living room, it is meant to be used! I love how you can dip in for little bits of inspiration and tips or read cover to cover. It makes camping with kids much less intimidating. It is do-able even for the novice and helps me see how my family can become closer and more connected with a well-planned (but not overdone) adventure. It really is the simple things in life that matter most. One of my favorite reminders the author has is that hiking and spending time outdoors isn't only about the outdoors and talking about the outdoors ... It is about connecting with family and friends about everyday life. Preparing for the trip might mean learning a little bit about the topics that matter to your family so you can engage in meaningful conversations. Buy this as a gift or a personal guide - either way the end result is the inspiration to get outside and to connect with your family!

Very well written guide on how to have fun outdoors. I am not into camping, but this book worked on me and I applied these suggestions to my kids. It's always good to gain different perspectives, this book does that.
