Although I have used a topper before it wasn't as thick as this one.( I believe I use a NovaForm from Costco) We just sunk too deeply into this one. I'm not saying it wasn't manufactured correctly, just a personal preference. Hofish did say that the odor upon unwrapping it would dissipate quickly...and it did!! Not the problem as other manufacturers have had. So If stars counted for manufacture/odor/packaging; I give it a 4 star. Personal preference ...not for us ..so soft and deep its hard to roll over in middle of the nightAs an update: Hofish representative did contact me to discuss my concerns. I must say they truly are a responsible and customer oriented company. Hats off to such refreshing appreciation for their customers.

I waited three weeks before writing this review. I wanted to give myself ample time to try out the mattress topper. I spent a few days researching and reading reviews of hundreds of different mattress toppers and decided to just bite the bullet and order the HOFISH one. I am NOT disappointed at all!The first thing I noticed when opening it up was the lack of smell. Other toppers I've used or friends have gotten have all had an off putting odor, but this had no scent at all. It needed less than 12 hours for it to "inflate" to normal size and the dimensions were spot on (not always true of others).The topper is SO COMFORTABLE! I LOVE sleeping on this each night. It literally forms to my body, gives me plenty of support, and makes the movements in the bed less noticeable. I sleep soundly all night, rarely move around (which used to be a normal thing), and wake up well rested and with no back pain.I recommend this mattress topper to anyone and everyone that is looking for one!

I have a pillow top mattress that wasn't comfortable anymore so I started doing some shopping for foam toppers as well as mattress pad toppers. I bought this to layer with a 2inch down alternative and all I can say is WOW!! Our bed is so comfy & soft. We keep cool as well. I love it!

Keep in mind that I haven't slept on this mattress pad just yet, but I am SO looking forward to it.I just got this 3" mattress pad out of the box, so here are my observations:There was no "weird" or strong smell like one might expect to find with this type of material.The packaging was easy to open.I laid it flat over the top of my bed and it returned to its natural shape in minutes.The foam is lightweight, gives easily when you lay down on it, and provides a very soft padding for the top of my existing mattress.I bought this product because my hubby and I got our first memory foam bed earlier this year, and while the new bed was comfortable, it was also a little too firm (made for back sleepers and we are both side sleepers). So, I did my research and found that the HOFISH mattress pad had the highest rating and the best price. And I could not be more pleased!
