Great results, easy to use and cost effective
I used this to frost some glass candle cups to use with a Skull chandelier prop. The original chandelier used real taper candles (faux LED candles had not been invented yet) which were very messy and difficult to light while the chandelier was hanging up. The cups I purchased were clear and the LED candles I'm using didn't look very "real". One can of this fixed that. The process was very easy, just follow the directions on the can. I had to apply several coats to get the coverage I wanted. I think the curved shape of the cups had something to do with that. Anyway, I'm really happy with the results. Now, I can turn the candles on with a remote and the flickering flame in the frosted cup looks real enough. I'll post pics of the finished product once I get the chandelier out of storage.

Better than expected results...
It took over two years for me to finally get around to making the laundry room window private. My landlord wanted me to use cheap plastic crap that required measurements, cutting, and just a mess I was clearly procrastinating over. I really didn't like the way our bathroom window looked with the plastic, all bubbled up and cheap looking. I was perusing on Amazon, and happened upon this product. I admit, I was a bit skeptical, but, aside from the prepping with the painter's tape and the plastic with it's own tape (another interesting review I've made,) the end result made me so happy, 3 weeks later, I ripped off the plastic garbage in the bathroom, and frosted that window, as well. One thing to know, it's recommended to do multiple coatings, about every 10 - 15 minutes. I did a total of 6 coats, I love the end result. Far superior and pretty easy to do. You'll spend more time prepping with the painter's tape and fighting with the plastic and it's own tape, but it cleans up super easy, and you end up with something far more professional looking and aestetically pleasing. Highly recommend!!!

Ease of applying
this frosted spray paint work great. I was almost tempted to buy the frosted tint but this is way easier. Just spray and go. no measuring or cutting the tint. The easiest you will find in covering up the garage door windows and still let in sunlight.

Best option for the price
We have a glass front door on our house, and while we have a shade for it, I always found the idea of frosted glass to be desirable. I looked into it and decided that a spray-on solution would be the best for my needs as some of the more "do it yourself" options required a bit of work and could prove to be costly and time-consuming. The Rust-Oleum Frosted Glass spray had mostly positive reviews so I figured I'd give it a try. Verdict: it's a pretty excellent product! A few notes about the application process: Application is simple, but it requires a bit of patience and a consistent spray. Follow the guidelines on the canister and keep the nozzle about 10 inches or so away from the glass, using steady, sweeping sprays. I found that I didn't need to mask the wood around the glass as it just sort of "dusts off" from the surface of the wood, but I suspect that any smooth surfaces are worth masking (metal, plastic, finished wood). Another thing that is worth noting is that you absolutely should have the area well-ventilated and it's good to only do a couple sweeps at a time, letting the area air out a bit between sprays. I went all-out on my first pass and the "dust" from the frosting material got absolutely everywhere. It mops up with no issue, but it will make a mess if you blast the window for an extended period of time. Second, it's good to let it dry and make a few additional passes. My first pass seemed good, but once it dried I did notice a few inconsistent spots where the frosting wasn't quite as dense. Allowing a few minutes of drying and a few additional coats will ensure that the glass gets evenly frosted. I also decided to do a couple of vertical sweeps after the horizontal ones to break up any linearity in the spray. It worked really well. I also hand-cut a mask with Frogtape and plastic to include an artistic feature/view hole and it came out fantastic! All in all I highly recommend this product and have been very happy with the results!

This stuff frosts in a frosty fashion
Originally purchased frost film; however and due to the fact, I am not a ballerina with neurosurgeon hands, I was unable to execute the ‘mission from God’ in order to properly and meticulously apply that product as directed. This spray stuff is awesome. Tips: safer further than too close - apply many coats vs trying to do in one application; always keep can moving - sweeping back & forth motion. Pros: This stuff provides more privacy in ratio to more coats, whilst still allowing light in. Good privacy at night, even with well light interior. Nice finish as long as you know how to properly and patiently apply. If you screw up some early coats, you can repair in latter coats. Remember…don’t let perfect get in the way of good. In other words, once you have a decent coat to desired level of privacy…leave it be. Cons: this stuff does stink but more importantly, it leaves a particulate matter film ALL OVER EVERYTHING as is the case with dry wall dust. Summary: Great product - follow directions, be patient, apply many distant coats vs trying to hammer out the job in one coat. Thanks for listening, Regards, me

It Absolutely Works
Bought this to glaze our front door as it had stained glass and some sections you could see directly into the house. After thorough cleaning of glass and taping off, two coats, it came out above expectations. I would highly recommend this product.

You have to be at sufficient distance from the glass otherwise excess agent will drip and will leave unwanted mark. Needs a bit practice. Area must be well ventilated as it's smell can choke you. I mean it. Though result is pretty good.

It’s a great item and solution but it would require some skill to make sure it’s done nicely.

Each coat dries quickly, reduces glass transparency. The strong smell is also notable. just what I needed

If you don’t want to spend money on frosted glass, this is a good product.Even changes mirror into frosted glass. I used it on a mirror and a plain see through glass outside my house . Just takes 5 mins and the glass was frosted. Very happy.
