works well
has held up so far.....time will tell concerning the zipper... but his is always at a part that under stress / stretching, filling the bag to full may/will cause damage. this item makes planting my small crop fields much easier

It has metal gears !
My grandfather had a seed spreader like this one. Of course his was made of wood instead of plastic and the metal gears seem to be made of better metal. I bought 2 of the all plastic hand spreaders and they failed after the first use. Bermuda seed clogs the gears, they become difficult to crank and eventually they just break. This thing is a little messy and if you have trouble walking and chewing bubble gum it might not be for you. It works great for me. Everything else I found in this price range had cheap plastic gears.

No better way to go
i have several of these and use them all the time. I just spread 20 50 lbs of wheat using my electric spreader and this to cover area I missed. Great for yards. Wears on the fingers holding the gate open so wear a gloves.

Missing Crank handle
Got the product everything looks good except I don’t have a crank to operate the spreader. And I have reached out to the supplier cricket.

Good value
It does its job but don't expect this to work for hours. I used it for about 3 hours then it started to get harder to turn to the point I could not turn it any more in fear of twisting the handle off. It is cheaply made and works for small acreage.

Great for food plots
Very satisfied with this spreader. Worked out great on my food plot and was easy to use. Only one recommendation to the manufacturer: add one tack weld spot on the detachable crank handle to the attachment nut. Individual small parts can be lost easily. I did this with mine, handle is still detachable and found it easier to attach to the spreader.

Metal gearing is a bonus
I used this spreader to spread seed and nitrogen over a couple acres of field. When it arrived I was happy to see the metal handle and gearing and feel pleased about the construction. What I thought was challenging was setting a wing nut that determines the amount of product flow onto the rotating broadcast part. It was awkward and it seems that a simple lever adjustment would be better. The wing nut also has to hold back a spring and that whole assembly could have better engineering. Overall though, for the money it did a good job and seems pretty durable.
