Great WiFi Extender.
Super easy to set up, connects very quickly. Even though I am the opposite side of the house to the router I was able to set it up without going near the router. I live in a shared house so I often have difficulties with the WiFi especially as I am at the opposite end of the house from the router. My computer used to regularly disconnect from the WiFi all the time but that has never occurred while using this WiFi i extender. I connected it to my Chromebook with no issues at all. It provides a stable connection despite taking up almost no space. Great stability with video calls. I didn't have to put it on a wall or anything like its just resting on my desk and doing its job. I connected it to my Chromebook using an Ethernet cable. Great Wifi Extender I highly recommend it.

Great extender once you find the sweet spot.
What I loved: The setup was really straightforward — TP-Link always does a good job with that. Once connected, the coverage boost was noticeable straight away. Dead zones became usable zones, and devices held onto their signal much more reliably. Speeds are solid, especially with the WiFi 6E band available. When it’s in a good placement, it genuinely feels like you’ve extended your main router rather than sticking on a cheap repeater. What made me sigh loudly: Performance depends a lot on where you put it. Move it slightly too far from the main signal and the speeds drop more than expected. Not a deal-breaker, just requires some experimenting to get the best out of it. Should you buy it? Yes — as long as you place it well, it’s a great way to extend coverage and boost speeds around the house. For mesh setups, it integrates nicely and works reliably once dialled in. Easy setup. Strong speeds. Good coverage improvement. Just a bit sensitive to placement. Still recommend — especially for WiFi 6/6E homes needing a coverage boost.

Great coverage
Bought to add to our EE router set up as the original unit didn't reach the garage and upstairs bedroom. This works really well and was easy to set up. Now we have all round WiFi in the house and garage

Great for enthernet
Great device if your router is too far away from your computer to use enthernet, I get download speeds of up to 450mbps with this, was extremely easy to get set up, it also has good software built in and you can download an app on your phone to acccess it, not sure about the signal strength as I only use it for enthernet to my computer, I have connected it to my phone and the speeds stay basically the same as if I was on the actual internet, definitely worth the price, I went from about 60mbps to over 400mbps.

Not quite as advertised... but still useful
TP-Link are one of the few companies that are pushing out routers and other accessories that can make use of the 6E standard. Or so they claim. In reality, things are not what they seem. I purchased a TP-Link AXE75 some months ago, which is a Triple band (2/5/6) router and access point. It's really good - cannot knock it at all. One of its claims is that it can use the 6GHz band to implement a wireless back-haul to other 6E capable devices. What this means is that if you were to put, say, a similarly equipped range extender somewhere in your home, the two would establish a private 6GHz back-haul over which they would carry any 2 and 5 GHz traffic. This is very useful, since it frees up the 2/5 networks for data from your devices, rather than storing and forwarding the data over the 2/5 links, slowing them down. Trouble is, until recently, TP-Link didn't make such a range extender. But they told me they were working on one. And here it is - just released - the RE815XE. Now that it is installed, I can see that whilst it is working well, it is NOT implementing the advertised 6GHz back haul. Even the carton tells you that it will do this. It will not. I've spoken with the rather good TP-Link support team and they confirm that it is a feature still to be added. 10/10 for honesty. But this product has been available for months in the US. They've had plenty of time to get this feature sorted out. Maybe a regulatory hurdle has held them up? Who knows. Anyway - just to manage your expectations. This device does work well as a Mesh range extender, but it's greatest potential trick - the 6GHz wireless back-haul - is not available. Yet. TP-Link claim it's coming in a future firmware update. If and when it does turn up, I'll update this post.

They work really well, 150 MBs plus
Combined with a TP link router in Mesh mode, these provide reliable 150MBs comms. However! Don't use more than two. Or if you do, make sure that third one is in open space or out in the shed 20M away. I've got trouble with reflections in some parts of my house. The front hall has small, heavily bricked areas and anything there bounces wifi around. Plcament of the router and repeaters needs lots of testing and thought. The router in the garage (my workspace) combined with one of these extenders each end of the large open plan living room/diner works fantastically. Put a third one close to one of the others (upstairs, through RF invisible wood) or in the reflective front hall - and collisions abound. Result is a confused router, little or no bandwidth and sadness. The open, thought-out and tested plan using just two expanders is bullet proof and fast :-)

Very easy to set up

Simple and effective. Easy to setup. Just works. The only issue is that even though the mkt material says that range is good for a very large house we dont feel it is. It has issues.
