Excellent
I've only begun to read this, but so far, it is an excellent reference book. Full color photos, recipes, histories ... a must have for those living in/near the Rocky Mountains.

The book stands as an excellent source of useful knowledge
The book stands as an excellent source of useful knowledge. The author does an excellent job in giving you several ways to positively identify each plant with confidence. Ive used several foraging books in the past but so far this is one of my favorites. Im looking forward to trying some of the recipes that were included along with the plant descriptions. Harmful look a like plants are listed with each plant to help you avoid making mistakes which is always important but this book goes a step further and describes how to tell the difference. All in all I am very happy with this guide and would definitely recommend it to any out door enthusiast.

Definitely worth the purchase.
This is a great book. Excellent color photos and descriptions although it would be nice if there were photos of the plants during various stages of growth. It's a little too heavy for a backpacking trip but I have utilized it on many day trips.

Great book for starting off foraging
Great book for starting off foraging. Most of the plants in this book are pretty easily identifiable from her descriptions (even for a beginner like me). She obviously likes her edibles more than I do as many that she describes as delicious are just ok to me. I feel like I would need to be lost and pretty hungry in the wild for some of these to be as good as she says they are.

A very useful book.
Am planning on using it when car camping. The book is a little large and heavy to carry around for miles and miles if doing backpacking, but would do fine in a daypack for short hikes, or if car camping.I like that the book is very detailed, and physically durable so it can take some abuse.
