This is wonderful quality shea butter that I use for homemade whipped body butter. It’s great for sensitive skin and doesn’t leave a greasy residue. I’d absolutely buy again and recommend to others.

I wanted to try a natural product so I didn’t use lotion all over my body constantly. I feel weird about the chemicals leaching into my skin. So I did some research and saw that Shaw butter is really good. I did some investigating and came across this particular brand and I am so happy I did. This is the real deal, fresh and pure quality. The smell is exactly how it should smell and the texture is really creamy. I have had other shade butters in the past that were grainy, had balls in it, we’re dried out, smelled weird etc. this is by far the best I have ever tried. I will be coming back for more when I run out. Just a tip: I live in the Arizona desert and my skin dries out so bad even with thick lotions. I found the BEST solution to this. After my shower, while my skin is damp, I put jojoba oil all over my body. I let that absorb for about five minutes and then put shea butter on top to seal everything in. It is a little greasy at first, but once it absorbs I have never had smoother skin. I am so happy I found this! I really recommend it and I am not one to recommend products Willy nilly. My mother was infuriated when I ordered this and received it, but it was worth getting! It is super moisturizing and hydrating! But in an awesome way! I think it is one of my favorite shea butters to use! And I do have a few brands that I use. Once it is applied to my face, or anywhere on my body, you really can't tell that I am wearing shea butter. It's not really greasy or tacky to wear either. A good tip is to pat it in after you place it on your skin, that way it is absorbed when you lie down or do whatever you need to do. But this goes for any shea butter. It does help to use something like aloe vera on top to lock in the moisture if you want to absorb it even faster, but it already sinks into my skin very quickly! Sometimes I am just surprised at how quickly this really absorbs compared to some Brands I've used. I'd say this is right up there in my list of top five brands to use. I bought this thinking I was going to use it with my wife Michelle, but she passed away on June 7th, 2024. So now I have a whole 10 lb block to use on my own. In the future, if I ever order this, and this is my advice to you if you are one person, I'm just going to order the one or two pound block instead. Anyway, I love the shea butter and would highly recommend it! I only wish that the packaging was better, a sturdier bag would have been nice. The bag I had for mine ripped The aluminum can rip easily as well!

Update, I was using Shea butter on my face in the morning, even though it left my face looking shiny. The problem I have is with every Winter cold front my face would get red patches around the cheeks/nose and eyebrows, less with the Shea butter but they still appeared. So I decided to try using it on my face before going to bed, and so far that has worked much better, no shiny face during the day, AND no red patches on my face after Winter cold fronts, this Shea butter is amazing! This brand claims they don't use heat to make 1 lb blocks, and it is a product of Ghana, I read 16 million women across Africa help to make Shea butter. I bought it from Yellow Brick Road before, that had a light nutty smell and was wrapped in plastic. In contrast, this has a light sweet smell and is wrapped in wax paper, and I like that. I think the smell is like the fruit body that encases the nut (though I have never tasted the edible fruit). I use it on my face, helps to keep my skin hydrated and prevent rashes. Store bulk in freezer, and cut off small pieces to store in a small container in the frig., then just rub a piece on my face and massage in.
