Not quite solid enough
The lift could be a tiny bit higher but the most important downside is that the material these are made of ended up bending a bit after 4 weeks of squats. I squat twice a week and bought these so that I wouldn't have to pack my squat shoes for a flight home. While I was there I did squats twice a week and the max load I worked with weighed 365 (I weigh 180lbs). By the end of my stay home, the lifts were already starting to curve/bend like they were giving way to the weight. The material could be stronger which is why I gave them a lower rating. Overall, they were better than squatting flat footed or in squishy tennis shoes.

Perfect alternative to lifters
I bought these because I didn’t want to bring my lifters on my deployment. I’m using them with NoBull trainers. It add that little extra heel height for the Olympic lifts but still maintains a function fitness shoe. I wouldn’t run with them. Double unders felt the same as usual because your on your toes.Build quality is solid. Will definitely recommend to anyone who wants to see what a lifters feel like before spending that larger sum of money. Or if you just need that extra heel height for ankle mobility in your squats or Olympic lifts.

Only wear with socks
The heel lift is .5 inches and does not compress. But,it does have a embossed logo on the top. If you don’t wear socks it will cause a blister on your heel because of the embedded logo, making an uneven surface digging in your heel. Uncomfortable to say the least. The lift slips forward in the shoe and is too large to fit a women’s shoe size in the heel area. There is no texture to keep it in place.

Nice alternative to Metcons
I struggle with ankle mobility, and my Crossfit coach recommended I get a pair of Nike Metcons due to the removable insert. They were narrow for me, so I was excited to find these VersaLifts as an alternative that I can put into my Nanos. I haven't had any issues with heel slippage. Running in these isn't great, but it's doable in short distances as part of a metcon. It's really improved my squat depth. I bought a size small for my 8.5 women's size shoes.

Work Pretty Well
These are easily added for help with range of motion in hips/ankles for those needing a bit of assistance. I'm not sure why I waited so long to get them. Made a world of difference for me over the last few months. They absolutely do NOT replace mobility work, but they absolutely DO supplement mobility work. They do shift a bit if worn above the shoe insert and, for me, add too much weight to use for jumping, etc. However, for pure lifting (squats and Olympic lifts) they definitely can help those of us who lack full range of motion. Also, worth noting the company reached out shortly after purchase to ask if the product was okay, or if there were any issues. As a consumer, I really appreciated that.
