Review: Valuable, Unbiased, Informative, No Judgment, Factual - This book is fantastic. I love how informative and matter of fact the material is. Theres no bias or judgment, just this is how it is. My only thing is that my son is only 11 and I am hoping to ease him into the information. There is sooo much to cover and this book does a great job of doing so, but I would like to see the subject matter rearranged. Jumping into intercourse before even explaining puberty and body changes makes no sense to me. I need him to understand the changes to his body and what he is experiencing before we tackle sharing his body with someone else. Im still trying to figure out how to present this material to him in my preferred order but I think as he develops, this book will be a valuable resource. Review: Fantastic and Informative for Tweens - It’s Perfectly Normal is a fantastic book for tween girls! It covers bodies, growing up, sex, gender, and sexual health in a clear, age-appropriate, and respectful way. The illustrations and explanations make sometimes tricky topics easy to understand, and it encourages open conversation. Highly recommend for tweens who want a trustworthy, informative guide.

Informative and Appropriate
I found the content in this book to be relative and appropriate. As with any media platform there is a recommended age…10+. The parent needs to decide based on the level of maturity whether their child is ready to read it. This book was recommended by a medical professional as a resource. I read it and then asked my child (12 yo) to read it and then we discussed it. I also had my mature 10.5 yo read it. Children should be educated about their bodies and not have to ask uneducated friends questions they are uncomfortable asking adults. This book should also be a resource to prompt discussions. If you are conservative you can explain that you believe that a relationship is a man and a woman but that there are others who believe same sex relationships are acceptable and something that your child will encounter. Overall an excellent book for parents wanting to educate their child about their developing body.

This book is NOT “PERFECTLY NORMAL” for Young Children
I - like others - HAD TO give 5 Stars to this book- so my review will be Viewed ! While this book has SOME accurate information- IT is obviously- has an agenda just in its Title Alone ! I FEEL That—it is NOT “Healthy Reading” - Especially For Young Children. I have 2 Grandchildren & I would NEVER give them -this book -to read. This Book Features an Illustration showing 3 “COUPLES”- Filling 1 Whole Page- Each Two-some is in Bed -in various sexual positions. Featured is 2 Men in a bed, 2 women in a bed & also a Heterosexual Couple. The BOOKS page- treats ALL 3-Two-some’s-Equally! Remember This Books Title !!! My problem -is with Children- Seeing & Reading This Book when they are at the Threshold of Sexuality. DO YOU REMEMBER -HOW CONFUSED YOU WERE - AT THAT AGE ? I Ordered This Book & Pre-Read the others- when I was told- that My Governor-Ron DeSantis FL.—Banned BOOKS”. I used “Siri”. to find the Books Names & Authors. I looked up ALL of them- Please Do TheSame ! All of them have the same Agenda or Worse- even “Murder!” You can view them online ! I love Amazon ! But please be careful- of what age kids -you give This Book To !

Not kid appropriate at all!
Definitely not appropriate for children. I was shocked when I opened the book and they said it’s for 10-year-olds and older!

Surprisingly Good
I had heard from other parents that I should be alarmed about this book because it is in the curriculum for our son who is in 5th grade. So I bought it and I read it. And it's really good! It goes through all the things parents should be sharing with their kids but maybe aren't having that open dialogue. What kinds of things? Sexual health. Bodies are different and here are some drawings of different people - old, young, fat, thin, tall short, abled, disabled, light, dark, man, woman. What happens to our bodies when we go through puberty. How babies are made. What it means when people do the thing that makes babies but don't intend to make babies. And how to deal with that. Bullying is bad. Here's how to choose to be kind. Technology - and this chapter surprised me - this wasn't in the 2014 edition - it talks about things like the Internet, what it means to post things in social media, and that the Internet is forever so lets learn how not to do harmful things with the technology. Are there some graphic drawings? Mmm kind of. But it's in the appropriate range of what you'd expect for a health book for children ages 10-12. So why all the controversy? I think this book is being used as a political argument. If you read it for yourself you'll not find anything inappropriate. RECOMMENDED

A must for parents of public school kids. Disgusting.
Read if you want to know what’s being placed your children have access to in public schools; but don’t read on a full stomach. It’s really an XXX-rate comic book with very poor illustrations (a good thing in some instances).

Great inclusive thoughtful information
This is an excellent book. Are there cartoons of people in bed? Yes. Are they pornographic? Not at all. This book has a lot of sense information and is very thorough. It says age 10+ but I would be comfortable giving this book to my seven year old. There is nothing in this book that we have not had a conversation about already from masturbation to gender to sexual abuse. I don't think he would have an issue with any of the topics, however it is a LOT of info with small type and that is the one reason I could see that this may be hard for a kid under 10 to digest. We will be using this book as a follow up to conversations we have and he can browse it on his own when he is ready and at his own pace.

Perfect book
Bought this for my ten year old son and also for me I guess, to have an anchor for discussions around puberty, sex, and gender. I wish I had this book when I was a kid. Instead we had this bizarre book called How Babies Are Made from the 60s which was both terrifying and hilarious. It didn’t really explain much though. I highly recommend this one to everyone - it covers so much - things I wouldn’t have even thought of but are essential for kids going through puberty or their adolescence.

LGBTQ propaganda.
The book contains LGBTQ indoctrination on almost every page.

informative book updated with the times
purchased this book for my 10 year old boy who is growing up. rather than relying on hearsay and fake online information, a good hard copy book would be better. as a parent we can read it together and answer our child’s questions.
