Newman's Own Beef Jerky Treats for Dogs, Original Recipe, 14 oz Bag

I have a 12 yr old Chihuahua/Corgi & 4 yr old TerriPoo who both absolutely go crazy for this. While being soft & supple, the jerky is super chewy. The older dog has had some dental issues & has had some teeth pulled. This can be kind of a challenge for her, so as long as I tear it into smaller pieces she's fine The TerriPoo just mows thru it & comes back for more. She loves this so much, she does what we call the "Jerky Dance," where she stands on her hind legs & spins in a circle. I love it because the beef is New Zealand sourced & not some cheap, Chinese-made junk. It smells so good, I want to eat it myself! The one downside is I was buying this at local retailers for some time. I was having more & more trouble finding it, so I came to Amazon where I was able to find it. I contacted Newman's Own about availability & was told this product is being discontinued, with no plans to replace it. They do make another soft meaty treat which smells similar but is not mostly meat like this. My girls will eat it, but this by far is their favorite goodie & has become our nightly bedtime ritual. Not sure what we're going to do when this is no longer available 😢

We've been buying these dog treats for years now. Our dogs absolutely love them. We're on the 3rd generation of picky Yorkie eaters, and every generation has enjoyed them!

These are expensive. Even for dog treats they are expensive. Most stores I got this at have stopped carrying it because of the price. My dog loves them but I have to just feed her steak as it is cheaper

I first switched to these treats because they are gluten-free and made from grass-fed beef. GF doesn't matter to our dogs, but I am allergic to gluten and treat time was always marred by my nervousness about gluten traces on my fingers and on my counter. We continue to buy Newman's Jerky because our dogs are crazy for them! We also like the texture and size of them. They don't smell disgusting and they're just moist enough to easily cut into smaller pieces for our three, 10 to14 lb. pups. (Since our dogs are small, we can cut each jerky treat into 16 to 25 pieces!)
