My previous version from 4 years ago was amazing in every way and boy, did I put it to the test. Eventually the bottom started wearing too thin and the zipper attachments were breaking. So I bought this one to replace it. While it's still a great bag, I'm disappointed that the inside container that holds the gear has changed. It used to have this flap and you could close the container so if you wanted to take the whole thing out of the bag, it would be in an enclosed padded container. It also gave an extra protective layer to the outside..rain and such.. Which put my mind more at ease. Now it's open with no flap. Bummer.
